If you live in Colorado Springs, you know finding a good grocery store here is hard.Sure, we have Wholefoods, Sprouts and Trader Joes, but if you are looking for a well rounded store with competitive prices, you are in for a hassle.The good: This store is kept mostly clean and tidy. Service is friendly and its conveniently located for the rockrimmon community.The bad: The store is never stocked. I have never been able to find every item on my list here, and always end up having to drive to King Soopers for things that were not available at Safeway.Its a shame really, because I would much rather shop here. The flower department is ample and beautiful, the store itself is clean and well lit, and the staff is super friendly. But its not worth making two grocery store trips.

Store o store offers digital coupons however there's no service so you can't actually use the digital coupons and the workers cannot manually add the digital coupons. Walking around the store four times trying to get the digital coupons to work. I finally asked somebody for help and they told me to leave the store to see if my reception will get better. Unfortunately, I think if you display a coupon, you should be able to use the coupon especially if I have the app and I'm doing everything correctly. I feel like it's a bit of a scam to offer a digital coupon but not to be able to use it due to the shitty reception of the store.

This is literally the worst Safeway in Colorado!!!Bill, Teresa and Ally treat customers really really bad. I can't believe the way they talk to people and get away with it I'm just shocked. Last week Ally told me to get out of her face because I asked her a question. SMH this is unreal. Don't shop here ever again!!!!

Would like to have more fresh food in the deli and the produce is just ok. Can be tough to find help.

This is a super cute location. I feel it is smaller than other Safeways, however you don't feel cramped. It is laid out well and very clean.

Service: I've been shopping at Safeway Village Center for over 20 years and appreciate having a neighborhood grocery store nearby. The store is clean, well-stocked, and convenient. However, one thing that consistently disappoints me is the lack of service at checkout. When I go through a staffed register, I expect some assistance with bagging, but instead, I'm consistently left to do it myself.For a neighborhood store, good service should be a point of pride, and this is where Safeway Village Center falls short. When I have a large grocery haul, I end up going to King Soopers even though it is further simply because I know I'll receive better service. I'd love to see Safeway step up in the service area for customers who choose to go to the staffed registers.

One bathroom for men and women with multiple stalls. Something is very wrong when a woman is in the restroom going to the bathroom and a man comes in!!!!!!!!! Which is what happened to me. By law I don't think this is ok.

The Pharmacy staff is very good. Very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Trey specifically always provides great service.

I have shopped this Safeway for years, and have always appreciated the location and friendly staff. However, the least year or so I have been disappointed with the produce section. The majority of the produce seems to be old. I went to pick up some oranges a few weeks ago, and picked one up that had mold all over the bottom of it. Apparently, it had been setting in that place for a very long time. Often, the melons are downright rotten in places, a clear sign of them being very old. Buying tomatoes in the containers is always dicey. Half the time I bring them home and they aren't usable as many in the middle are rotten. Yesterday, I couldn't find a cucumber that wasn't mushy. You now have to look very hard at everything you buy in the produce section because there's a good chance it's not fresh. I'm not sure if it's a lack of staffing, lack of training, or what the situation is, but it's getting to the point to where it isn't worth it to shop at this location. With prices for groceries being what they are, it would seem to be a fair ask to at least be able to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables and not have to gamble with your health for fear of consuming moldy/old/past its prime food. Many times, I find myself simply throwing out produce after I bring it home because it's unusable and inedible. This store used to be wonderful. I'm disappointed to see such a decline in the last year or so.

most grocery stores have shopping baskets so you don't need the whole shopping cart. my only complaint is that they don't have baskets to shop with.
