Royal Gorge Rafting And Zip Line Tours

A wonderful experience for the entire family. It was my 10 year olds' first white water rafting trip and they were a bit apprehensive but ended up having lots of fun.We booked the half day Bighorn Sheep Canyon trip. Our guide, Cliff, was knowledgeable, informative and wonderful with children.He introduced himself before we got on the bus, so we knew exactly who to look for. He was clear in his explanations and we, including the kiddies, felt 100% safe prior to setting off. Cliff spoke about the Gorge, gave great recommendations and narrated throughout the trip.I highly recommend this place if you're in Canon City!!

I got a day long package rafting package for my sister and myself with Royal Gorge and we had an amazing time. They didnt have full day packages on the Sunday we booked, but staff made it work for us with a morning on lower class (1,2) rapids, lunch and then an afternoon on higher class (3, 4) rapids. In the morning we went out with Savannah, who was sweet and a perfect guide for a novice to start with. Went through all of the safety procedures, and all of the strokes we should be aware of and we were off to raft through Bighorn Sheep Canyon! We had a photographer that was also moving along with us to grab pictures and to be available in the case of an emergency. That extra person was awesome, and gave additional assurance if something went awry. Mid-day we came back to the base, and had lunch with our voucher at the Whitewater Bar & Grill. The food at the bar & grill was okay, nothing over-the-top (I had a cheese quesadilla). But note, you are NOT allowed to have a drink during lunch if you are going out on the water in the afternoon. The trip was late April, and the water was frigid so I was hoping for a hot toddy or a shot of whiskey to warm my insides, but they weren't having it.In the afternoon, we rafted the Royal Gorge with a new guide, Adam, along with a photographer (Quinn, who was awesome!) in a solo kayak that was rafting behind us for pics and to emergency assist if anyone capsized. Adam was an awesome guide, and obviously an adrenaline junkie as he had us doing 360-spins and other tricks in our kayak. I understand why he has repeat rafters requesting him as a guide, he really enjoys himself on the water and you really feel like you are on a class 4 rapid! A local dam was released shortly before our arrival, so Quinn mentioned normally the water is moving at 400cfs but we got to experience it closer to 1,000cfs! That may be something to inquire about when booking.Overall, Royal Gorge was truly a 5-star experience, and I'm looking forward to many more whitewater rafting adventures if they are anything like this one. A really memorable time, with some great guides and staff.

One of the best days ever! We did the rafting and the zip line. Joey Paulson was a rockstar guide for rafting. We did the Little Bighorn. A bit disappointed that we were not able to do the Gorge but understand that the water was very challenging. We did hit all of the tougher routes through the rapids. Loved the rafting!Did the classic zip line with Tatum and Daya. They were great guides! We had a lot of fun. All of our guides were amazing and learned every one in the group's names. They all were engaging and shared a ton of information. Each one of them was focused on our safety.This is a top notch company! I highly recommend booking with them.

Rafting at the Gorge was such an incredible experience! I was a little worried at first hearing that the rapids were class 3-5, but I shortly realized that there was no need to fret when you have experienced guides with you. Joe was our guide/instructor. He was very clear with his instructions and has had many years of experience with rafting. He & all other guides, on & off the raft made this experience fun & reassuring. I left with unforgettable memories and sore muscles! Happy to say there were no swimmers on our 4 person raft! Thank you, you all rock!

Great time and great facility. They may be a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for. We came at low water, but it was still a sweet time. Our guide, Joey, brought the stoke to make sure we had a good time. The facilities around the base camp are great too.

My Royal Gorge white water rafting experience was excellent thanks to the friendly, efficient, knowledgeable staff.The three-hour Royal Gorge rafting tour ($99) included complete outfitting with a wetsuit, a helmet and a raincoat to help keep me warm and dry - nice!We navigated nice class III and challenging class IV rapids with the assistance of our experienced guide, who reminded us that the #1 rule is to stay in the boat. : )This facility offers rafting tours, zipline tours, a gift shop and a restaurant with a bar. A set of beautiful pictures of my tour was available for $69.Excellent!!!

Awesome group at Royal Gorge Rafting. Our guide Chris, was great. The facilities and equipment were top notch and the people friendly. The trip was great!

Had our first visit last season for a half day experience and had to come back with more friends and family this season. Adam, our tour guide both times, MADE our experience - he was professional, highly skilled, knowledgeable, encouraging and entertaining! Thank you so much for two adventures we will never forget. Such a fun time! Drewski was go good with instructions on the bus about safety! We had Audrey as a tour guide and she was absolutely amazing!!! If you get her, you are in great hands!!

We had a fantastic day on the river. Adam was a fantastic guide and LA, Lyndsey and Drew made it a great experience. I highly recommend RoyalGorge!
