They have a great children's section! Legos, play kitchen, puppet area, snacks! My toddler loves it here and we always walk away with a lot of books. Currently about trucks and other moving vehicles. The staff can also point you to books with just a topic. We've found great books about trash trucks and construction vehicles. Not just nonfiction ones.

This is my go to library that's close to home and my favorite.WHY?1. Everyone is so nice here and staff is beyond helpful. Anytime I have trouble finding a book, there is always someone there to assist.2. Reserve online and pick up made easy!3. This location is clean, orderly and not super crowded!ONLY DOWNSIDE?1. parking is kind of a bitch and limited. if not able to park in the lot, there is side street parking, but it gets scarce every now and then.

Beautiful location with abhorrent staff and patrons. I actually think it's hilarious and you should definitely take a moment to stop in if you're in the area. It's like a Tod Browning wet dream: the staff don't make eye contact and mumble in a passive-aggressive way that makes you blurt out "Really?" from the depths of a place you didn't know existed. The patrons must've escaped from the same VA hospital that inspired Ken Kesey to write his seminal novel "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," because they're 100% clinical.Seriously, stop into this place for five minutes and just observe a catastrophe of the human race. It'll make any other negative experience you've had with people seem like a minor infraction, and it will reaffirm your sense of purpose and of life.

My neighborhood library. I love them. I miss them right now. I was working on the "old guy" habit where you go to the library once a week, get three books, and bring them back the next week. Plus, I was learning to plan ahead and order specific books from the main library. So, now I'm waiting patiently for my chums to be back.

Ok so again, I'm a DPL junky. I can't believe that I've never been to this location but it's AWESOME! If the man in charge were to build a library this would be it!Totally easy to find parking, really nice staff, easy access to books and DVD's. Lots of space to study or do work, as I do. AH-MAZING!

Awesome library---not too crowded and never have an issue with parking (plus it's near Sprouts, King Soopers and Starbucks so I can do everything in one stop!). They make it really easy to navigate through, have new cd's and books and the hold process is simple (you can hold it online and get a text when it's available). And people are decent here because they keep it quiet, like a library should be, without misbehaved children running wild and homeless not bathing in the bathroom sink. My only gripe is from the lazy girl in me--they don't have a drive through book drop, you actually have to get out of your car (the horror!) Also, the British dude working the front desk could be a little more personable but oh well, what can you do,those two negatives wont keep me from coming here.

I'm lucky enough to have just moved to a place where I can walk to this library in 5 minutes. Why? It's an absolute beaut, and as silly as it sounds, it's got me to go back to the library over and over for the first time in years. You'll always find a parking spot, and there's a drive up drop slot if you just need to pass through. The inside is very well laid out, with everything clearly labeled, plus computers with internet for public use, study tables, and if memory serves, even some study rooms. They have not only books, but DVDs, magazines, comics/graphic novels, even CDs! I was able to rent some Mystery Science Theater 3000, which I was very stoked about. The selection is huge, and varied.I can't speak to the staff as I've never interacted with them, but they seem like very helpful, friendly people from interactions I've observed. Why have I not interacted with them? Because of the spiffy library version of the grocery store self check out-scan your card, put your stuff on this square one at a time, and you're done!Job well done, Denver Public LIbrary. Thank you for making me love the library again!

I have been to this library twice, only to check out books that I had reserved online. But I can tell you I like it. Why?As others have said, there is plenty of parking.Like other Denver library branches, the librarians are friendly and seem to love what they do.It isn't as busy as some other branches. The after-hours book drop is accessible. (I used to go to Decker branch, a beautiful historic building off South Pearl. But you had to walk up the wheelchair ramp on the side of the building to access the book drop, because they blocked off the stairs. I'm sure there was a good reason to do that, but it is a real bummer in the winter.)
