I had the pleasure of partaking in a private 3-hour Downtown Colorado Springs food tour with Roger as my guide. He's a Colorado Springs native, an accomplished sports history author, and food lover. He was friendly and welcoming from the get-go and instantly made me feel comfortable. The food I got to enjoy was tasty and they were located in places I would never have found on my own. Pacing was great, and the 3 hours flew by. I felt like I was sitting down to a meal with a good friend who shared his love for food alongside tidbits of Colorado Springs history. Roger's humor, enthusiasm, and positive energy make for a fabulous outing. When you book, ask for Roger!

We absolutely loved our tour with Kathy this last Wednesday. She was knowledgeable about the area, obviously cares about the locals and their establishments, and encouraged conversation within our group. We did the 3 hour tour and loved each of our stops!

We had a private tour scheduled for an after-work-gathering celebration with food and drink pairings. From the beginning, the communications with Samantha were helpful and clear. The actual tour was a great mix of culture, history, and good eats and drinks, modified to the really cold evening that it was (this Californian appreciated that GREATLY!). I don't know if they usually customize these tours, but it really seemed customized for us. We started with a gumbo with baguette and wine pairing at our first location. The gumbo was delicious and spicy, just the way I like it! A short walk later, we went to a food hall and took in the art along the way. We got some Taiwanese eats, which I was delightfully surprised by the diversity of cuisines! The noodles were paired with a Goat Patch ale, which was SO good. Our third location was a speakeasy, one that hadn't existed just the previous week. Really cozy and cool vibes. They served us a chicken pastor taco and the hot toddy. I think the hot toddy was the hit of the night, which isn't surprising given how cold it was. Finally, we ended up at an old church that had been converted to a bar/brewery for a dessert AND beer flight pairing. I just wish I had more room in my stomach for all the desserts, it was delicious! And a special treat was having a sommelier on site explain the beer pairings and the actual chef walk us through the different desserts. It was also really sweet to hear from Samantha how she and her mom started this business. You can tell by the way she engaged with the different restauranteurs that she has a good positive working relationship with them, one of mutual respect. All in in, the perfect way to play to end a week of hard work with friends. Thanks Samantha, for your hosting us and for putting together this night! It was special, and I'm sure we will be in contact again!

Behr was a fantastic guide. Thank you. What a valuable asset to the company!!! I thought he might be the owner, he was great. Knowledgeable and good sense of humor, fun facts provided, and not overwhelming with information. Fun for locals or out-of-towners. The food stops were each within easy walking distance. The food provided was tasty and PLENTY of food. Nice variety of flavors and styles. We were stuffed. The "upgrade" to alcohol pairing wasn't a great value. $18 for 3 drinks sounded reasonable, but they are half pours. They do that so the tour can keep moving along. Just go to the bar and buy a drink.

Absolutely Amazing Food Tour with a Top-Notch Guide! My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary in Colorado Springs, and we couldn't have picked a better way to experience the local vibe than with Rocky Mountain Food Tours. From start to finish, the tour was spot on, and our guide, Kathy, was a whole vibe herself--totally enhancing the experience. We kicked things off at a spot that gave us a true taste of Colorado with some next-level green chili soup.If you're into authentic, homegrown flavors, this was an excellent start--definitely set the tone for the rest of the tour. Then we hit an authentic Mexican cuisine stop that absolutely slapped. The chips and salsa were on point, but the real star was this quesadilla-like empanada filled with slow-roasted bison. Talk about flavors that linger in all the right ways. Now, let me tell you about Kathy. She's got the perfect blend of enthusiasm and knowledge. She walked us through the history of Colorado Springs and the origins of the food with such finesse--enough to make us feel like locals but without making it feel like a history lecture. She was informative, but never in a way that competed with the enjoyment of the food itself. It was more like she was setting the scene for each bite, making everything more meaningful. If you're looking to explore the foodie scene in Colorado Springs with someone who knows their stuff and keeps it all the way real, this tour with Kathy is where it's at. Highly recommend--don't sleep on this experience!
