Antonio is the BOMB and Rock N Row is so much fun. Look, if you want a Glamping River facility, this isn't it. If you want a legit fun time with guides that know the river THIS IS IT. Our guide was a second generation guide that knew the river like the back of his hand. We were safe, had a great time, and learned all about the river. This was our second time down the river and we will be back with friends. The facilities were clean, they had drinks and the price was spot on.

Want an adventure? Rock-N-Row is the place to deliver you a fun time on the Arkansas River. We were first time white water rafters & our tour guide, Matias, took care of us. Our 2-hour journey throughout the Middle Bighorn Sheep Canyon area gave us perfect vistas of the canyon, herds of bighorn sheep & just an all-around good time. The river flows were pretty fast at over 2,000 CFS for mid June. The only downsides were the weak air conditioning on the white vans taking our groups to the launch site & the lack of professional photographers the day we toured. We especially liked the small town feel of Cotopaxi where small groups & families weren't treated like a cattle call.

Outstanding all around. We went rafting in mid-July in middle big horn with our 9 and 11 year old kids. It was the first time for our whole family. The day before my wife and I had hear the water was high and fast. When we arrived at Rock and Row they quickly put our worries at ease. Our experience was This is a smaller operation that is clearly focused on providing each group with their own unique experience and not concerned with getting as many people in/out as they can in a day. Our guide, Aaron, was outstanding. He made the entire trip down the river fun and memorable for our family. Halfway into the trip our kids were jumping off a rock into the river and asking to go into the more aggressive rapids. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for rafting in the Colorado Springs area.

What an amazing experience! I had never been rafting before and, admittedly, was very nervous. Mostly about falling in. I knew if I were to fall in, I would rise from the water in a flaming ball of molten lava prepared to dart thunderous lightning bolts from my eyes toward my raft mates. ...but that never happened. Maybe because it was late season. And we only got to see mostly IIIs and a few IVs. For a beginner, it was still a wild ride. Thank goodness we had, like, the best guide ever! Shout out to Yoda, who was hugely communicative, very insightful and has a strong eye for what people need, even without being told. What do know: -Check out Groupon before booking, because there may be a sale. We got more than half off the price. -Bring your own water -- you can take it in the raft with you.-Little people are welcome. I saw a couple of tiny ones -- 7 and 11, I believe -- out on our trip. -Wear waterproof clothing and shoes/or clothing that dries quickly. You'll thank me. -All of the equipment is supplied, that includes the helmet and the life vest, so don't worry about bringing any of that. -You will receive a tutorial and safety briefing. Pay close attention and don't be shy about asking questions. -Each raft comfortably seats six person, and the guide. I would not recommending going as a solo pair, but know there could be opportunities to raft with others. I say do it. -Bring sunblock. No joke there. -You can bring your own waterproof container for anything you need to keep try, and hook it onto the lead's bag. Just make sure it's small. I took a Ziplock for the essentials -- car keys, chap stick, meds. -If you want more water and more rapids, plan your visit for July-ish. That's peak season. By late August, the water levels are quite low, and you will get less of a surprising experience. But it is still quite the fun time without too, too many loud folks around. -Bring cash for the tip at the end. And have fun! It is a daring experience.

Had a great time on the water with Justin. It was our first time fishing from a raft. Highly recommended. The fishing wasn't the best but we caught a few. The water was murky and I'm sure once it clears it will be better. Regardless it was a good time, Justin our guide was pleasant and personable. The only thing I would have to add is the company seems more geared to rafting then fishing.

A great small company that doesn't make you feel like a herd of cattle being sent down the river. While safety was their top priority, the staff was very fun and personable. They were very good at explaining safety procedures as well as the reasons behind each. Jason was full of historical and archeological insights as well as knowledge of the river and surroundings, making our experience very well rounded. He (as well as the rest of the staff) was wonderful with our 4 kids (ages 9, 12, 14 and 16) and provided fun things for them that we have not seen other companies do. Our youngest is small and did not do any rowing, however we were assuming this ahead of time and also feel that the guides were good at assessing the ability of each participant. Her experience was not diminished in any way, and she was excited to still be an active participant. We would love to raft with them again, as well as try some of their other guided adventures!!

AWESOME TRIP!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! So we found this place on Groupon after my sister said she wanted to go rafting while out here on vacay from Texas. We were originally hesitant to book at this outfitter because of some older, unfavorable reviews, commenting on poor customer service. However, we decided to go ahead with it and everyone was extremely satisfied with the trip. We were given two options when booking our reservation: 8:30am and 12:30pm. We chose the 8:30, and hit the road early heading down from Castle Rock. The iPhone's Maps app got us a little lost, but we stopped at the little corner store and got directions. ***POINTER: you will see the sign for Rock N Row right from the 50. You don't have to take any side streets to get there.*** We checked in at their very mellow HQ and they soon gathered everyone for life jacket and helmet fitting. During this time, the wife was extremely nervous, asking numerous questions about the safety of the trip. The entire staff was AWESOME about reassuring her and allaying her fears. They were patient, kind, and understanding. They never berated or belittled her one bit even though she was literally in tears with fear at one point. After a safety briefing, they bussed the group (about 30 total) up to the "put in" about 5 miles up river. The route we ran in Bighorn Sheep Canyon had 4 class IIs and 2 class IIIs. We were very, very blessed to have Chris as our guide. He is the head boseman, lead climbing instructor, and he also runs a lot of the office operation. He was one of the most friendly, fun, and knowledgeable people we have ever met. He did a great job getting his boat crew working together and getting to know everyone. We would HIGHLY recommend REQUESTING Chris for either rafting or climbing trips. I won't go into every detail about the trip, but needless to say, everyone had a great time--even the people who were scared before the trip. The only regret we had was not going for a full day trip and going on the Class III-IV. This place is more a boutique outfitter than a massive operation. However, this is a plus! You get more individual attention, you get to know your guides, and the river isn't clogged with boats from your pod. Bottom line: do a full day trip, request Chris, and consider doing a combination rafting/rock climbing trip. You'll love it!!

A few weeks ago my wife and I came to Rock-N-Row for a fishing trip and there was some confusion where they got double-booked. They were very apologetic and owned up to their mistake. We were able to get out on the water with them later that day and to make it up they gave us a family float trip which we used today. Antonio was our guide today and it was so much fun! We had our four kids with us and he was super patient and interactive with them. They had a blast on their first ever rafting trip! When we got home this evening my four year old said, "today was a great day! It was so much fun!" I agree with him. Thanks Antonio and RNR Team! We will see you next season!

Loved the small business feel, very campy feeling. The guide was amazing, and really helped found the prefect mix of keeping both our adventurous child excited, and our anxiety ridden child calm. Great day on the water.Only negative was the store manager, was a total B&@#! Rude, short, and completely unpleasant!
