Robbin’s Nest High Country Cafe

You walk in and it's like you e just arrived at your best friends house!The food is cooked, ready to order, nothing frozen and waiting in the microwave!About the food *chefs kiss*!The ambience, the food are both superb but they pale in comparison to the service! I will go out of my way to make sure I stop by!

My wife and I walked in at 2:15pm. The closing time was 2:30. We typically don't even go into restaurants that late but we had our three year old grandson who was hungry. We asked if we were too late and the lady at the desk acted like we were although she said it would be ok. However I also had our 8 week old puppy with us. The lady said that they had a problem with the puppy unless she was a support dog. She is 8 weeks old. It was 18 degrees outside so even if I felt comfortable with her being in the truck alone it was too cold to leave her in there. This is a unique situation because we had our grandson and puppy with us. I thought that the lady could have handled it better. If a support dog was ok this tiny puppy certainly wouldn't have been an issue. I think she just didn't want to take us because it was too close to closing time. Too bad. Probably won't be going back.

Consistently very nice staff and super welcoming environment. I'm on a restricted diet and asked for basted eggs but they couldn't accommodate. My only observation is the chef probably doesn't need to be so heavy handed with the cooking oil when cooking eggs over easy but other than that highly recommend!

Nice to have a new breakfast option in Fairplay! Robbin's Nest opened within the last month or two and have been busy. We tried them during Memorial Day weekend and they were certainly feeling the love from many guests. Service was friendly and they kept the coffee flowing - including flavored creamer options on the table. We were hoping to try a smothered breakfast burrito and relleno plate but they were out of green chili :( We went for biscuits and gravy and the High Country breakfast (country steak and eggs) instead. Huge portions - definitely consider a half order! Food was good and we enjoyed our breakfast. It came out slower than we'd like but they apologized for not having all they help they would like. We'll return and hope they stock more green chili for a future visit. Indoor ambiance is pleasant enough - I look forward to them opening the patio!

I couldn't have been happier with our experience at Robin's Nest. I called ahead to tell them we had a party of 10 and would be arriving in 30 minutes. They had tables with silverware and water carafes waiting for us! Robin and her husband greeted us and made sure we had a great waiter (I love excellent service as I think it makes the food taste even better). I had the breakfast burrito with the homemade green chili sauce. It was so good that I had to tell my husband and daughter to stop eating so much of it and leave some for me My husband had the French toast with whipped cream and fresh berries, and it was fantastic. All three of my kids enjoyed their food as well. If you appreciate quality breakfast , excellent service and even a chat with the owners, then this is your place!

Very friendly and attentive service. Had pancakes, bacon, eggs over easy , home fries, toast, coffee...all good. Looking forward to the next time.

Everything was perfect! Lisa was our server and I am inclined to think this was the best breakfast that we have had on our trip!The omelet was amazing, the hash browns were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I will eat soggy hash browns and not complain, but, these were amazing! The coffee was good. We like the atmosphere and the friendliness of the room. Lisa was super kind and attentive! There were several other breakfast places in the area and we are so happy that we chose the Robin's nest!!

This please is not good. Tried it this morning, ordered a cheese omelette with bacon and a biscuit. The biscuit was cold, bacon was cold, egg omelette was cold and the cheese wasn't even melted. It was as if someone ordered the exact same dish an hour before I got there, but never ate it so they gave it to me. The dining room was also full of construction workers who were sitting there having conference calls on their speakerphones so it was an extremely unpleasant experience.

This dining area was very delicious! The food came on time and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely come back!

The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I ordered the turkey bacon eggs benedict and my husband ordered blueberry pancakes. Good sized portions and delicious! We'll definitely return when in the area.
