My wife and I ate here while visiting from Alaska for our 25th anniversary. The setting is amazing, very beautiful grounds that are well maintained by the Broadmoore. Valet parking was great, hostesses were very polite and took my wife's cost for her. Our table was amazing, great scenery of the grounds and in a windowed corner for great views. The dinner was very good, the waitstaff were friendly and helpful. I had the wagyu bolognese and my wife had the swordfish special. Both were outstanding! Presentation and flavors were on point! For dessert we had a Panna cotta and the canolli's. Both were delicious and a great end to the evening. For cocktails we had a mule, and the bourbon agave cocktail, both were delicious. Great evening to celebrate our 25 years together!

The food at Ristorante Del Lago is excellent, as is the service. I've eaten here before dietary restrictions and never been served anything I did not think was excellent. The choices as a person who cannot eat gluten, dairy, eggs, beef or almonds were very limited. The ambiance is fine, though somewhat noisy as they are very busy typically. The appetizer choice was some olives, period. I could have ordered a modified salad and there was a seasonal soup available as subs. For dinner they have excellent gluten free pasta , and were able to add chicken or shrimp for me, and there was also a chicken dish. No gluten free (etc.) dessert options were available that I saw. The food I did eat was excellent and I would go again, but know the options are limited. (Note: I'm unclear how the staff are trained on allergies. My server seemed knowledgeable but when our table's food arrived someone different served my dish to a different person at my table and did not identify it as gluten free. That did give me a touch of concern and I felt I needed to confirm.)

Went for cocktails and appetizers. Drinks ran approx. $23 each (plus a 20% service charge) and with three sips, drink was finished...... way too much ice.We ordered the charcuterie tray, which was not impressive and came with 4 little torn pieces of bread and asked for more... Server brought a handful of Ritz crackers... are you kidding me??? Very disappointing for The Broadmoor, as go often, but not here ever again. Server was good and only reason giving two stars. A $350 tab for 9 drinks and two appetizers... nope nope nope.

Updated Review. Ristorante Del Lago remains consistent; serving top quality Italian food. Be sure to make a reservation for the evening meal -- you will need it. The atmosphere is relaxed with stunning views onto the late, the service is impeccable. The wine list is pricey, lengthy and with some noteworthy Italian selections, some of which were below $75. On a recent visit, we had breakfast as the other restaurants were closed for renovation. A great way to start the day with a fresh cooked to order meal. In the evening, the Arugula Salad was huge (way too much), shareable and delicious. The Seafood Stew was exceptional with perfectly cooked shellfish and a savory broth. The noise level in the evening can get very loud and it was last week. The wait staff, as with everything at the Broadmoor exceptional, caring to our every need, yet never intrusive. Al, our server, was most helpful, offering great advice and tips. Overall, a superb restaurant with exceptional Italian food at reasonable prices, perfect service, beautiful décor, sophisticated ambiance and a picturesque setting. No trip to the Broadmoor would be complete without dinner here.

Restorante del Lago was so amazing! We had dinner there the Sunday during our stay. The food was so good. We had a beef tartare that was out of this world. I had a mushroom pasta dish for my main, My BF had the best thing... it was a veal cut. I also really loved my apple martini and I had an apple panacotta (not shown). The servers described each entree like they were reading a story, I love that! Very upscale and absolutely worth the price. It was dark, so the photos didn't durn out great. Take my word for it, if you are in Colorado Springs, this is perfect for a nice dinner. The view of the lake (also sadly not shown) was gorgeous! We were there in the snow and it was truly magical.

Took the girlfriend here for a date night!! We had a great time!! Service was great, and the food and drinks were amazing. A little expensive on the drinks, but they were good and consistent so we had a couple each. Dessert was delicious too. We explored the Broadmoor hotel and the grounds after dinner to let our food settle and ended up at the small bar that's next to the restaurant. Very good drinks there too and had a good time talking with the bartender and other patrons. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quality date night with more to see than just the restaurant.

This Italian restaurant we visited in Colorado looks across a lake. Ristorante del Lago at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs specializes in Italian hospitality & cuisine with house-made pasta & wood-fired pizzas with a view. We dined here for dinner during our stay at The Broadmoor. We arrived and were seated on the indoor patio with a view of the lake. Our server Megan was such a pleasure - she had fabulous recommendations, advised us on the most popular and seasonal items, and had the sweetest demeanor. She was a real testament to The Broadmoor's commitment to exceptional service. We started our meal with two Zero-Proof Specialties - the Meleto and the Lapo's Spritz. The Meleto was made with apple cider infusion, NA Ginger Beer, & Soda. The Lapo's Spritz was made wtih Lapo's NA Apertivo, Orange, Vanilla, Lemon, & Soda. The Antipasti Misti was made with the Chef's selection of Formaggi & Salumi. The Aosta Pizza was made with house-made sausage, charred pepper, roasted garlic, & fontina. The wood-fired cooking method gave the crust and toppings a lovely smoky, slightly charred flavor. The house-made sausage was meaty, and the fontina cheese (a semi-hard Italian cheese) provided a creamy, nutty flavor that melted beautifully over the pizza. The Lobster Pappardelle was made with main lobster, cherry tomato, & saffron butter. The lobster had a delicate sweetness to it that was countered by the burst of acidity from the cherry tomatoes. The Tortelli Al Brasato was made with braised veal stuffed pasta with roasted cipollini, red wine, rosemary, butter, and Parmigiano cheese. This seasonal pasta was a rich and flavorful dish with a complex taste profile. The braised veal filling imparted a deep, meaty flavor, while the red wine and rosemary added depth. The butter added a smooth, creamy texture to the pasta. This was our favorite pasta of the night.Of course, we had to leave room for the homemade gelato. We had the Cookies & Cream, Strawberry, & Chocolate Crunch gelatos that were served in a beautiful silver goblet with a cookie on top.

For a restaurant in the world-famous Broadmoor Hotel, this was a flop of Olympic proportions. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary, hoping for a magical evening, and instead got... well, this.Let's start with the service: impeccable. Everything else? Imagine a balloon slowly deflating over two hours. They stuck us at a corner table, which sounds cozy until you realize it's half booth, half chair--like they couldn't commit to one vibe. And, bonus, it was next to the kitchen entrance and the server gossip hub. If you're wondering whether it was noisy, just imagine trying to celebrate while eavesdropping on someone else's workplace drama. Fun for the first 10 minutes, less so by dessert. The table itself? Wobblier than our expectations for the evening. My husband spent most of the night playing "Human Table Leveler" with his foot. At a place like this, you'd expect tables that don't feel like a DIY project. Now, the food. We went all in with the Feast of the Seven Fishes, $110 a person, because if you're going to splurge, why not? Expectations were sky-high. Reality... not so much. The three antipasto dishes arrived family-style, which meant we got to play serve yourself at our anniversary dinner. Super romantic. The salad was drowning in oil, like it lost a battle with the bottle, and it came with a single cocktail fork for serving. A single. Cocktail. Fork. We were one step away from using our hands. The Campanelle Alla Vongole? Delicious--if you ignored the clams that didn't open, which we did because, you know, food safety. The Red Shrimp Pappardelle? Also delicious! Except there were two shrimp. Two. One shrimp per person. I started wondering if the kitchen had a shrimp shortage or if this was just performance art.The branzino was the star of the night--10/10, would eat again. The Cod Alla Fiorentina was good too, though the branzino was clearly the teacher's pet. The charred broccolini? Let's just say it leaned a little too hard into the "charred" part.Dessert was a cannoli, which we actually loved. If only the rest of the meal had been as good as that cannoli. For $110 a person on our 30th anniversary, we expected a night to remember. And it was memorable, just not in the way we hoped. Next time, we're hitting up our favorite pizza joint and pocketing the difference.

I came here for dinner and since I didn't have a reservation I had to sit at the bar, which I didn't mind since I was by myself. The staff were friendly and quick. I ordered the margherita pizza since I wasn't too hungry and I was not a fan of their sauce. It was on the sweeter side (tasted very different than the usual margherita pizza sauce). I ate half of it and left the rest. I would recommend trying a different dish.

After being told that this is must go to spot in Colorado Springs, this restaurant did not disappoint. The view from the patio is absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the serene water and the majestic scenery of the mountains. I enjoyed a glass of wine while savoring the wagyu beef and the seafood stew. Keep in mind the beef is rare, like a beef tartare. Very rich and decadent. I came here for dinner with some friends, and it was phenomenal. I discovered this gem of a restaurant during my stay near the Broadmoor, despite the busy insurance conference. The coffee here is great, and pairing it with dessert is a must. The service was exceptional, and the food was phenomenal. Lots of history and famous people along the walls of the hotel. I am very impressed with this hotel and the different restaurants within. The italian spot looked like it had the best scenery so that's why we ended up there.
