REPS Union Avenue Sports Gym

Like most things in Pueblo, it's mediocre and overpriced. Limited options; downstairs is musty. It's clean and the people are friendly so that makes it the best option in this town. Bottom line: it's a nice gym if you've never been to a gym before.

I'm currently living in Pueblo during the week for my job (back up to Denver on weekends), and suffice it to say, I've been pretty lazy during my first couple months here. Like, I can't believe I've been here 8 weeks and haven't done a single workout lazy. Le sigh. Anyway, I was recently encouraged by a colleague to check out REPS, and so I took her up on the offer. They were kind enough to let me stop in, do a tour, meet some trainers and even try a free class to see if it was the right fit.One of the biggest draws for me was the fact that this gym has several membership options and price categories. I've done CrossFit on and off for 4.5 years, and I liked the fact that I could buy either a regular fitness center membership - with access to cardio and weight machines, the training complex, free weights and group classes - or have that membership combined with access to CrossFit classes. They also have various membership terms that will fit any length of stay, whether it's short term like me, or a longer commitment. The pricing is very fair. In addition to the fitness fun, there are plentiful lockers for storage, showers, even a hot sauna. And it's clean! I think it's the first gym I've been in that hasn't had a foul odor coming from the free weight room. Major plus.Other perks: it's conveniently located right off the River Walk. There is plenty of parking, either in a lot dedicated to REPS patrons, or in a number of public parking spots on the street or in nearby lots. The people are super friendly. Seriously everyone here is so nice. And there is a shop that sells supplements, smoothies, etc if that's your thing. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but the multiple levels allow for seemingly unlimited workout options. REPS comes highly recommended.

I've trained at many gyms. This gym is small. Always has little kids running around. If you go between 5-8 good luck finding a parking spot. Parking lot is shared with another business, be sure you check the signage before you park as you will be towed for a fee of $278.50. I usually go to the gym between 6-7 pm, there has been many times I've had to wait extended periods of time on the staff to check me in. Have had to look around the entire gym to locate a staff member just to get a key for the locker room. I've talked to the owner on multiple occasions about some of the staffs poor attitude. The owner didn't seem to care. Owner did nothing to resolve my issue with the staff.

Gym is really nice. Great equiptment! Has a sauna that is small but super nice. Came on a Sunday so there were not alot of people. Relaxed environment.

Nice clean gym. Good free weight section. Clean locker rooms. Reasonable month membership price.

The gym is really expansive, with a crossfit, traditional gym, gymnasium, and HITT/TRX workout room. However, they seem to always have little kids running around the gym playing on the equipment. I have been here a few times for crossfit and had to leave because they were swinging on the rings and I was worried they would hit me while squatting. I won't get a membership because I don't want to have to worry about accidentally hurting a child because I'm lifting while they play around me.

Very disappointed with this facility. The cardio equipment has not been maintained in over a year and is constantly out of order which is unacceptable given the recent increase in membership rates. Recently there have been numerous cardio machines that were put out of order. When we asked when they would be fixed we were told it may take a while to get in the parts. Again, for as much as this gym charges in monthly membership rates, it is unacceptable that members have to deal with this on a constant basis. The restroom facilities are rarely maintained, with showers being out of order also. In the weight room and throughout the gym, members rarely clean equipment after using said machine. The main reason for giving this gym a one star rating is because the facility is also not following state guidelines for mask wearing and when we inquired about the reasons for this, we were told that the owner does not enforce the rule and does not intend to do so.
