Excellent bicycle shop. I left my older-model mountain bike to have a tuneup and repair of front disc brake. Scott, the owner, was able to repair my disc brake and did an outstanding job of replacing my cables, brake pads, etc, Scott is very friendly and very knowledgeable about cycling and goes out of his way to help you with any problems you need answers to. I highly recommend this business.

First time stopping in on our trip, great atmosphere, great people, Scott made you feel like you were a local and were super welcome! Solid shop with awesome products and people! I will for sure be back! Keep it local!!!

I hesitated to write this review for a two weeks and just can't seem to get it out of my system. Scott the owner of Red Canyon Cycles and The Bean Pedaler left myself and my buddy with a feeling that the owner is an arrogant self-serving man that would likes to pose as a caring small business man. Your see, Scott the owner of both of these businesses seemed eager to sell his personal bike while I demoed a bike at a bike demo of Rocky Mountain Cycle a few weeks prior. After my buddy spoke, via email, to Scott about 10 times over the next 2 weeks, my buddy and I drove to Canon City from Colorado Springs with this intention of helping this small business owner. When we got there he did not have the time of day for us. He ignored that we where even there and while we sat there waiting for him, we could see the computer screen that he seems to be engaged with. The problems was that he was not looking at or working on anything. He truly lacks in customer service. After we finally got his attention, he let us know that he wanted to charge me $80 to test out his personal bike. He called it a "Demo" fee. Not only did he want to charge me $80 to test out his personal bike, he wanted to sale it at an extremely inflated price. Basically, In my opinion, Scott the owner of Red Canyon Cycles and the Bean Peddler is an arrogant man who is going to truly struggle with his business once he gets a competitor in Canon City. If you want to start a new bike shop, Canon City could use one.

Bought my son his first bike here, great place.

No service or work ethic; owner ( not wearing mask) acted if it was a favor and a real effort to get up off his butt to sell me a sixty dollar helmet. When asked to wear a mask, he just grinned like " make me!" and ran my credit card. After giving me receipt, he just grinned again and then put his then put mask on as act of passive aggressive defiance. Doesn't deserve to be in business. No wonder Walmart is the mainstay of this small town

So I went Ascent Cycles first, as this is where I bought my first mountain bike, which was a hard tail. The second bike is a mid-travel full suspension Rocky Mountain 2018 Pipeline. I spoke to Scott's employees and they couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating, but Scott was out for a couple days.Anyway, when he returned we settled on price (saved a few bucks), and he was also accommodating and friendly. I say accommodating as he made good his offer to me, which was supposed to be a preseason order price savings (an order I was late on making), but he still accommodated the early order price. I will gladly refer people to this store.Completely different experience than the earlier review before me.

Scott is not only genuine and nice and honest​ but also amazing at his job! If you have a bike, need a bike, want to ride a bike or want to fix a bike...go to Red Canyon Cycles. Scott will take care of​ you! He's amazing!

Buddy and I were riding Pueblo Res in the a.m., and planning on riding Oil Well in the afternoon, but we're each bitten by a mechanical in Pueblo. Stashed the bikes in the pickup and headed for Canon City. It was a gorgeous Saturday in February, but to our surprise, the guys here had us back out riding in under an hour! A new, used, wheel for my buddy to replace his taco, and a rebuilt fork for me ! Affordable, affable, and beyond convenient. Highly recommend these guys if you're in the area!!
