My husband and I had the best time staying at the Purple Mountain Bed and Breakfast!! We spent the holidays in Crested Butte and loved every minute! Chris who owns the bed and breakfast is very informative of what is going on around town and is a fantastic chef.We loved having breakfast each morning and seeing what he was going to prepare. We will definitely stay there again - in fact my husband is celebrating his 50th in Crested Butte and we can't wait to return. Thank you Chris for a fun few days at your bed and breakfast! Love that your place is dog friendly and the location is perfect too! I highly recommend :)

We've stayed in a lot of B&B's over the years but I honestly have to say that this place tops them all. Not only is it cute, the location is perfect and Chris is very knowledgable....not to forget a fantastic chef! Every morning at breakfast he cooks something delicious and lets everyone know what is going on around town that day and can provide good suggestions on hikes/trails and also on restaurants. We stayed in the Crested Butte room which was cozy and reasonably priced; also took the cruiser bikes for a spin around town that are provided for our use. We LOVED our stay and absolutely will return the next time we head to Crested Butte.

What a fantastic Victorian Bed and Breakfast! The owner Chris was present but not overly present. Attentive and friendly and an amazing breakfast chef! Cozy and welcoming place with townie bikes to ride the mile or less into town. He also recommended a fantastic hike close by and places to eat. I will definitely stay there again. It was my first bed and breakfast experience and not my last!

We found the Purple Mountain B&B when another location that was recommended to us (The Ruby) was fully booked. We haven't been to The Ruby so it's hard to compare, but the Purple Mountain B&B is great! The place is decorated nicely with warm colors and comfortable furniture and linens. Our breakfast was very tasty (again, not really gluten-free or dairy-free friendly - but they're cooking for a crowd so it's hard to be picky...) and the gentleman who runs the Inn, Chris, is really friendly. He's got great local tips on places to eat, places to hike, and more. The place is dog-friendly. The only drawback is that you can't leave your dog unattended in the room. Luckily Crested Butte doesn't get too hot, so we left our dog in the car while we were out to eat. He was definitely welcome as we walked around town - it's a dog friendly city!If you have a bike, bring it to Crested Butte. You can easily get around by bike (I've never seen so many bikes in my life!) and cars are very careful to watch out for bikers as they tool along.

This is a wonderful bed and breakfast and Chris is an amazing host. He has been the owner and breakfast chef for 15 years. He loves his adopted town of Crested Butte, and it shows. He is happy to offer information about the area, events, activities, and things to explore. In addition, he is attentive to his guests' needs and comfort. We had a great stay, and are incredibly happy that we found the Purple Mountain Bed and Breakfast!

I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. The set up is well thought out and maintained and the owner Chris is amazing. He pays attention to the little details and knows everything about the town. Winter or summer, he will have great recommendations on how to spend your day if you are looking for them. The B&B is a very short walk from downtown and very reasonably priced. We are already talking about making our trip an annual event and coming back to the B&B.The breakfast is impeccable; a gourmet experience with normal sized portions and it fueled us perfectly for a day outside. We had ham and pepper souffle with homemade biscuits one morning and Belgian waffles the next. Chris knows all the best places in town, so don't forget to ask where to go for dinner! There is also a nice clean hot tub to relax in afterwards, a highlight for sure!

If you want a comfortable and attentive stay in Crested Butte, I cannot recommend the Purple Mountain B&B enough. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and rented out the Teocalli King Room. The sheets and bathrobes were nice, and the stand-in shower was excellent. It was quite cozy with plenty of room, storage space, and amenities to make it as comfortable of a stay as possible. Not to mention the direct access to the hot tub was a plus, which was a great addition. The host, Chris, is a superb cook and prepares a high-quality breakfast every morning of a variety of delicacies. I'm not even a fan of eggs but his Southwestern frittata has made me a believer now. He's very attentive to allergies as well and will always do his best to accommodate. My wife has a severe gluten allergy and he was always sure to supply a substitute. The only other thing he hosted regularly was beer tastings at 5, which we were unable to attend due to our plans, but he does have a nice selection of brews stored for it.The views from the B&B are great and it's located just a short walk from Elk Ave, where you'll find all the main shops and restaurants. Even closer is the bus stop that'll take you up the mountain.Overall, I cannot recommend Purple Mountain B&B for your stay. For the price point, the amenities, and level of service you're getting, it can't be beat. Definitely staying here again when we come back some day.

Beautiful bed and breakfast! Chris was gracious and welcoming to his part of paradise, and was a great cook! Walking distance to town, and Chris was very knowledgeable about hiking trails and where to see the best leaf colors. We'll definitely go back!

This was such a fun stay! My boyfriend and I came to Crested Butte for a late birthday trip. Chris is so friendly and helpful with anything you could possibly need. They have townie bikes to cruise around town, hot tub, breakfast that is out of this world, and not to mention great beers on draft! I highly recommend staying here we will be coming back Fersure!
