We stopped here on a drive around the mountains nearby. We split some loaded ribbon fries and sweet potato fries. Both were delicious, but the loaded ribbon fries were my favorite!! The pork on the fries went perfectly with them. Can't beat the views nearby while you eat! Definitely stop here!

We stopped here on our way through Twin Lakes. Three of us had the pulled pork burger, and the kids had corn dogs and grilled cheese. My daughter said the corn dog tasted homemade (she ate it before I could taste it!) the burgers were awesome--fresh ingredients and bread, and cooked perfectly. It was crowded but everyone was socially distancing well. We sat across the street at a picnic table with a glorious view. Definitely worth stopping for!

On a road trip through Colorado, my boyfriend literally said "I really could go for a tornado potato" within our first day there. A few days later, driving through Twin Lakes, in a small little story book town, there it is; a cute little food truck selling tornado potato!! I think they called it ribbon fries but. Regardless. It is a super cute little spot, we only got the fries but they hit the spot. And there's an awesome shop that sells local merchant goods and crafts right next to it to peruse through while all your yummy food digests. Also.. so many hummingbirds everywhere !!

Oh my! Was in town camping, and happened to be looking around the quaint town itself when the sign for Ribbon Fries caught my eye!!! Stopped in for some lunch and was so very glad I did!!! The food is excellent, and the service equally excellent. May only look like a side of the road food trailer, but don't let that fool you!!!

Whether you are driving to or from Aspen, in the area, exploring the history and trails, this is one of the stops you have to make in Twin Lakes. Just outside the sugarloaf gallery, Punkys is the place for sandwiches and fries. We stopped here on our way to Aspen, and I was pleasantly suppressed. The food is reasonably priced, and the food may take a while to get to you, as there is usually one person working the booth/trailer. It is definitely worth the wait though. We ordered the fries to spit, and that was smart. The fires platter, which is more like a chip platter, was very tasty and filling. One of us ordered the Ruben sandwich, and that was amazing, according to them. I come up to twin lakes often, and I am sure to come back here to Punkys!

Visiting the twin lakes area for a camping trip and we were craving some damn good food. We decided to stop by this little trailer and grab a bite. I expected solid food but instead, we received fantastic food and great attitudes! We got the pulled pork and cheese fries! We highly recommend this joint. The food is choice and the women taking our order were very pleasant

I like food trucks. For them to be successful, their food has to be good...unless there isn't any alternative around...and that's the niche Punky's has, there ain't much competition in Twin Lakes. The food is just blah, and the prices are very premium for just blah. If it wasn't for the mushrooms on my burger, it wouldn't have had much flavor. All burger sides are extra. I ordered a burger and that's what I got, a rather small burger sitting on a paper plate for eleven bucks. OK, $11 could be justified as the in-the-mountains premium, but it's rather expensive for boring. On the plus side, Punky's has an outdoor table/umbrella area behind it, in the yard of an interesting gallery they have partnered with. If you don't mind a pricey and uninspired burger, the over all family experience available surrounded by inspiring mountains is very cool.
