What a wonderful museum. There are many airplanes here, both inside and out. Newer fighters, and many from the Vietnam era. The centerpiece is a B-29 that you are allowed to go inside through the bomb bay. Several airplanes and helicopters are open for you to go inside and explore. Watch your heads since there are no ropes, and you can walk right up to the airplanes. They also have an assortment of vehicles from the WW2 era as well. There are several rockets and missiles and some items from the old Delta booster factory. Lots of uniforms and an extensive collection of model airplanes. Expect to spend several hours here!

Retired USAF and a sucker for Airplane museums. Been trying to hit this place for a while, but timing was always off. B-29, RA-5, F-16, F-15, 1/2 of C-130! There is some serious pride at this museum with their displays and aircraft on hand. A lot of old uniforms from WW1 & WW2. Several vehicles also on display. Would recommend to anyone to check it out.

One of the best aircraft museums I have been in. A great place to see some beautifully restored aircraft and other military memorabilia! I Love this place!

Such a Hidden gem in Pueblo County! Amazingly preserved Aircrafts and other historical bits and pieces. You could easily spend hours there and not see everything!

While on a road trip I decided to look for some attractions for my toddler and I to stop at for a break. My son loves planes so this was a must. I was surprised at how big the area was. There are two hangars as well as planes outdoors. It was amazing to see these planes up close. They also had a section dedicated to space craft which I personally found interesting. They had a few planes open for viewing which was really cool. The (I assume) docents are there to welcome you when you walk in. One of them guided us to the first hangar and gave us a quick run down of the place. I am sure they would provide a more guided tour or would love to discuss the planes more in depth if someone wanted. In my case my toddler was too excited that it was easier for us to just walk around on our own. I would definitely enjoy coming back here just to talk to them about their experiences and the planes history. If anyone is driving by Pueblo I highly recommend stopping by for a visit! They even have a cute little gift shop area with items for children and adults. My son was very happy to leave with his souvenir toy planes.

This museum was awesome! There are interesting artifacts and exhibits for all. There was so much to see that we ended up spending 5.5 hours there and didn't see everything. There are two giant airplane hangers packed with well restored historic planes, helicopters, and several vehicles. Mostly WWII airplanes, some WWI, Korean War, Vietnam. There is a yard outside with larger military planes and vehicles. Many of these artifacts you can get into, even sit in the cockpit. A B-29,Huey & other helicopters, fighter jets, & a B-52 were our favorites. There are exhibits recognizing not-as-well-known war heroes, including an African-American exhibit a women pilot exhibit, and much more. All of the exhibits in the museum were well put together. The volunteers were super. They provided as much or as little personalized tour as you'd like and came by here and there to tell us stories or answer questions about the artifacts. Wonderful, interesting people, several of them war vets. We especially enjoyed visiting with the WWII vet who was in his 90s. We have been to the airplane museum in San Diego and enjoyed this far more. Kudos to all of the volunteers that put together such a special place.

Found myself in Pueblo and saw the museum. "How great could a museum in Pueblo be?" I asked myself. Holy cow, was I surprised. Two enormous hangers worth of planes, vehicles, helicopters, military memorabilia alone would have made the experience an absolute steal at a paltry $9.00 (the most expensive ticket BTW.). Then the real value was revealed. The staff. We were escorted through the museum by a fantastic Air Force retiree who gave us history and anecdotes about each and every plane, talked about some of the people who wore the uniforms, why planes were designed the way they were. Absolutely amazing. Hands down the best $9 I have ever spent. My only advice, for $9 the hangars are not air conditioned, so bring some cold water.
