Hands-down the best music shop in the Springs. Richard is so friendly and knowledgeable! I was looking for a certain model Gretsch and he pulled it right off the wall and recommended it to me before I even asked. Their price was over $200 LESS than guitar center. He even went around the store with me to help me pick the perfect accessories. I got my dream guitar for the lowest price and I had a fun time doing it! This is the only music shop I'm going to from now on.

These guys truly appreciate your walking into their store. They don't pressure or hound you, but if you have questions or need help, they got your back. They are knowledgeable, capable & trustworthy. I'll walk into this store for gear long before i'll walk into any of the chain stores. These people deserve our business. Give them the opportunity to win you over, & they will.

I too had a bad experience at pro sound. Was going to let it go, but thought maybe it would help someone and save them some time and maybe calling into the shop first instead of just dropping by. When I went in one dude was playing guitar in a room and the other dude was talking with a friend not customer it seemed. I decided to talk with the guy playing guitar in a room nobody actually even noticed me pacing around obviously needing help so I had to interrupt one of the dudes supposedly working there. I recently purchased a Squier Strat and some of the tuning machines were broken and I wanted to replace them. Well the first guy is a salesman and he really didn't have the correct knowledge to help me and my questions. They had two replacement tuning machines for guitar not necessarily for my guitar. Well, he got the other dude to help me who was the tech I think all guess work here. So I get handed off to the tall white hair guy and he starts with thinking I have no idea of what I am talking about and he of course tells me these tuning heads need to be put on in a certain way this one first and he writes on my package first and last. I ask why are these staggered? He, mumbles to himself some gibberish I can't quite understand. He probably was thinking oh sh t maybe he isn't an idiot and maybe he is trying to buy locally to support the business. Instead of making it right he goes with his story, which I look on the packaging and there is no mention of order or directions on it anywhere stating anything he said. I still look over the tuning machines and they appear to be all same, no longer shafts on any and the holes the strings go in are all the same size. The prices online are way cheaper, but I am trying to keep my money local but at what cost. I take the tuners home and try to replace them and it would require me to drill out the holes to a bigger size to put these cheap knockoff tuners in my guitar. I didn't take them back cause I really will never go back they are the reason why online is better choice than two dinosaurs in a dead shop trying to sell anything no matter what. The two star instead of one is because I tried to buy a used case for my guitar. Granted this is a guitar shop with new and used guitars and other stuff. Well he rummages through and hands me a case and I put my guitar in it and it obviously does not fit good the neck is not really being supportive and so the dude says yeah that one doesn't fit lets try another and he grabs the worst gig bag ever basically a throw away and tries to sell it to me for 19 bucks I pass. I bought some strings too. We shall see how this store does in the future but if you are not a pro you are just not that important at this shop I guess. I don't know if this makes a difference but I am not white I am a pacific islander and could be mistaken for mexican so just putting out there for all the people who got great customer service.

This might not be Guitar Center but this home grown Colorado store has the goods ! Their products are always stocked to include accessories and the staff is always friendly ! This store is what value used to be in the big leagues ! I gotta to give them the big five stars people !!!

I guess any place can have an off day, but I have always been very pleased with the service and attention I get at this place. They were the only shop around that could fix my acoustic/electric for a reasonable price when the pickup came unscrewed and completely came out of the instrument.Rich is very friendly and helpful. I've been wanting to catch his band play sometime. He seems to always make time to talk to me. I go to this place mainly because his service and professionalism impressed me. He was able to fix my guitar in an hour while the other places didn't even have the tools to fix it.

The place to go for people that KNOW what they are talking about! They don't try to sell you crap you don't need, prices are extremely fair, and their selection is very strong. Richard in particular is a champion - Great guy and knowledgeable would be an understatement. His advice is amazing. This is the place to be, screw the other guys!

I wanted to buy a first guitar and had done some research but couldn't get my hands on a guitar to see how they sounded (I don't know what I'm doing yet). Mark grabbed a few guitars that I was interested in, tuned them, and played them for me so I could hear the different sounds of each guitar without me even asking. He was able to give me insight on things I didn't know and I can see why this store has great review as they definitely deserve it. I will absolutely be returning in the future!

I've only been there once, but they are good people there. Not like a big box store. They are very knowledgeable about guitars too.

I've bought a few guitars from them in the last few months and each experience has been very nice. They don't treat me like an idiot because I'm a new player and take the time to answer my questions and help with my music education during the process. I've been in other places in town and have been ignored and made to feel like I'm not wanted because I'm older and not chasing an image. I try to support local small businesses when I can and Prosound is my go to store now.

I recently bought a Fender Silver Face Champ amplifier here and was very impressed by the service I received from Richard Duffney. Richard was friendly and knowledgeable, a combination that can be rare in music retail. This store has the inventory and ability to help a beginner on a tight budget, the intermediate player and even a touring pro.
