Primrose School of Lone Tree provides the best educational childcare and is a place that is also safe and fun. The owners are second to none and our family feels right at home here.

I have worked at Primrose of Lone Tree for almost five years. It has been a great five years not only as an employee but as a parent. My Daughter started in the Preschool room and attended Primrose all the way through Kindergarten. She was more than ready to start First Grade when she left. My son has been at Primrose since he was eight weeks old and will leave as an Explore in July. Primrose is not just a school but a family I could not have imagined them being any where else.

We'll be sending our third son through Primrose of Lone Tree soon. We've been a family since 2011 and have been so impressed with the staff. We have such trust in the teachers and have seen the benefit of the curriculum as our oldest son entered primary school and those teachers commented on how much they love Primrose kids! The balance of fun, sports and academics that is provided to the kids even from the time they're tiny is amazing. We are believers in Primrose!

I typically try to stay balanced with regard to giving both positive and negative reviews, but always stay honest an unbiased in my opinion. I am giving 2 stars, rather than 1, because the teacher quality deserves a 4.5 star rating. The management brings the average down to 2 stars. I felt compelled to write a review of this school as I know it can be difficult to decide on a daycare, with limited information and experiences on-line; additionally, this is a BIG decision as it is one's child a decision is being made for. I am giving this school 2 stars because the teachers are so great. In fact, we use some of them as babysitters on the weekends and have had nothing but great experiences (we also get honest, behind-the-scenes information about the inner-workings of Primrose and the management). That being said, the teachers are extremely caring and great with kids; however, they are often overworked with maximum capacity classes. Dr. Shawn only acts like a "doctor" by title, as I have not seen that he is at all dedicated to the actual education of the kids. And, yes, our sitters have confirmed this (simple requests like 50 cent or $1/hour pay raises declined; teachers being monitored and judged for bathroom breaks, etc. this makes for an unprofessional work environment, and when you treat dedicated staff unprofessionally, they become less invested in their work and the company---and eventually your kids). I have tried to meet with Dr. Shawn, but he is rarely at Lone Tree. And when present, concerns clearly fall on deaf ears. While we never had an overtly bad experience with the teachers (again, I think they are fantastic), the actual environment and management do not make this a place to spend lots of $$ and assume your child's education will be adequate--simply impossible for the teachers to compensate for the lack of resources management provides. We ended up removing our child, and he has excelled in kindergarten. While anecdotal, one of our good friends "stuck it out" at Primrose Lone Tree and was found to be far behind the other kids in the same kindergarten as our child. In any case, there are plenty of good daycare and pre-schools in the area, so please choose wisely. Often the management is the biggest barrier to a child's education. Our friends and family have had good things to say about Crème de la Crème, Goddard, and Word of Life.
