Played a round here on Sunday because they had the last minute availability. Glad I made the trip from Denver because it was a great experience. Warmed up at the range before the round. Nice grass range but the ground was a bit hard and dry. Friendly and active staff greeted us before the round and a gave us a rundown on the key pointers for the course. Challenging features on every hole. Elevation changes, Forgiving fairways and sporadic bunkers kept the gameplay fresh and exciting. Very pleased with the course for the money and plan on making this a regular spot.

Cart girls never come around. Marshall's only care about pace of play and overbook this course. Extremely overrated course.

Thank you to all the staff who make you feel welcome at every point of service. Ownership is putting a lot into the golf course and it shows. Great conditions on tees, greens, fairways and bunkers!

I'm not a avid golfer and do not hold a private membership to any fancy pants clubs. So take this review with a grain of salt. However I have golfed at at least 20-30 different courses in different parts of the county and abroad. This course is fairly easy to get to off of I-25. It was designed by Pete Dye and has been open since 1984. My beef with Colorado courses is that the ground is very hard in the winter so you have to adjust your swing. Lots of residential homes on the course and you will likely hit out of bounds to some of their backyards. But overall not too many traps and the new clubhouse is nice. Rates are about $60-$90 with cart included. The carts are very modern with GPS and it won't let you drive off course keeping the greens in good condition. Final 3 holes most difficult.

Visiting family from out of town and I wanted to get a round of golf in. Colorado is a hidden gem for golf. This place in particular has my attention. I made a tee time reservation for a mid week round at 10:18 and my experience was great. The staff is top notch. Very professional and informative. Carts were way better than what I have available. My usual courses are located in Southern California. I was surprised to see a Marshal patrolling the course. Made playing time awesome. Also, what a guy! The Marshal (unknown name) had a great personality and very friendly. The course had some very challenging greens and fairways. I found the last 3 holes were the most challenging. It gives an appearance of TPC Sawgrass. Overall it was a great experience and some great golf was played. I highly recommend Plum Creek!

Disappointing experience. Course conditions even in late June. Lots of dead grass in fairways. Lots of trash in the trees and under the brush. Cart paths are in terrible shape. The grooming around the entire course is terrible. Even the rough is not healthy looking. The greens have needed to be scraped and re- seeded for years. All in all the least pretty course in Douglas County. The staff is great- but the owner having bought this out of bankruptcy and after years of neglect by the previous owners has had plenty of time to upgrade this golf course gem. If you are a golf hack- all of this probably does not matter- but the owner has other golf courses and a great reputation- we all hope that he spends the money to sand the fairways and greens and uses the amount of seed and grass plugs to bring this Pete Dye course back to its formal glory!!!

We played recently and the entire experience was beyond bad. The cart was filthy, leftover food, wrappers and used mustard and ketchup packs from the prior players. We smelled something foul but it wasn't until the 2nd hole that we figured out what it was, the ball washer liquid smelled like a porta potty, disgusting. The course has been neglected for sometime but it is much worse than when we played last fall. Tee boxes and fairways have excessive unrepaired divots and the greens have so many unrepaired ball marks that you can't hit a straight putt. Bunkers are unraked and full of weeds. Maintenance is not up to par, the greens were so slow that you had to smash the ball to get it roll more than 10 feet, and the fairways and rough have piles of grass clippings, meaning they are not cutting them often enough. We had to dodge several mud holes that smelled like sewers. Plum Creek is a Pete Dye design and was once a TPC course. The ownership group includes Bear Dance, Colorado National and Riverdale Dunes. I've played them all and compliment them on those courses. They are investing in a new small club house but they may not recover from the damage that is being done with players today, bad experiences are long remembered. Plum Creek is a wreck, its an embarrassment to the staff, ownership and anyone that remembers what this course was and should be! You'd be wise to spend your time and money elsewhere.

Played 18 holes in an astonishing pace of 5 1/2 hours. Was cart path only. Would be nice if they let people know. For example riverdale dune sends out texts and emails. With that said there were 3 groups ahead of us who would walk 100 yards to their ball without any clubs figure out the yardage walk back to get a club and finally hit the ball. Here's an idea when you park your cart look at the yardage and estimate they yardage. Pull 3 clubs figure out the yardage and hit the ball. Could save 2-3 minutes per shot. Had a marshal on the course and he did absolutely nothing to speed up play. Not sure what they pay him for. Finally multiple tee boxes are not in use as they are trying to improve them. Most likely won't be in use until least the fall. Wasn't worth the $94 weekend rate with a cart. Used to be less a couple years ago however new company just purchased it along with Bear dance and Colorado National.

WOW. The new owners have put grass on driving range and expanded the tee hitting area. They improved the sprinkler system and quit clear cutting the rough areas allowing for its growth and this natural looking course to be what Pete Dye (course designer) envisioned. The new owners are "even" re-landscaping (what used to be beautiful) the rundown entrance lane to the club. The new pro shop is outstanding as is the attached indoor/outdoor patio grill with mountain views, Castle Rock town and the Rock views. For sure, the cheeseburger and fries were great. They even ask you how you want the doneness on the burger!! The menu is fantastic and varied. The overall golf club service/experience is fantastic as well. The marshalls politely keep the herd of golfers on schedule and the food grill servers are quick and friendly. The previous owners began (mucho thanks to them) the beautiful transformation and handed this property off to the Heritage Golf Group Company that appears to be managing this property in very good fashion.
