We love pleasant valley! Nicole and her husband are incredibly helpful at check in and throughout the stay. We have been coming to pleasant valley for about 3 years now and wouldn't go to any other campground in the area! The campground is pristine and camp hosts are always available. The campsites are spacious and the campground itself makes us feel very safe with our two little kids. There is a playground, dog park and area to sit by the river. PV is a hidden gem!

I stayed at PVRV 9/17 to 10/1. Nicole, Josh and the camp hosts we great. I was there for elk bow hunt and access to BLM was Kerr Gulch, 1.5 miles south on 50. Perfect.I was prepared for the covid precautions, no showers and I did not need the laundry. I have Verizon, zero bars as warned, so i got one of those cheap ATT no contract phones at walmart. worked great. The park WiFi was ok for email but not streaming. No TV channels either. All the hookups worked fine.I was supposed to move to site 10 on the river, but I stayed at 35 for the shade. The river sites are exposed to the afternoon sun and with temps reaching 80, I opted to stay in the shade. The river sites are more angled while the interior sites are more parallel. The concrete pad is good size and the grass adds nice color, instead of gravel.Great place to unplug and unwind. And I enjoyed the friendly and courteous atmosphere created by the other guests in the park. And plenty of wildlife, the furry kind! Thanks Nicole and Josh!

No Covid measures at all. The store/office had a sign requiring face masks to enter but the owners did not wear or even attempt to wear a mask when I entered the store/office to check in. The restrooms were closed and we were not told this when I first corresponded with owner. The laundry was available by appointment but the camp host went in laundry room after being used without a mask and did not disinfect the common area. I feel they owners and hosts were not interested in keeping any common areas germ free, so they simply locked and closed the restrooms. As far as the facilities, the spots are very tight and with a small patch of yard grass that you are unable to use at all. Hookups are not adjacent to parking spot at least for site 32. We had an interior spot and I was happy that we did not splurge for river spot since there is no access to river.

I can't begin to express what a wonderful company this is. Nicole from Pleasant Valley RV Park is amazing. I called her a week before Mother's Day knowing that due to COVID-19 my sister and I wouldn't be able to spend the day with her; for the first time in our lives. I originally asked if there was something simple in the camp store that she wouldn't mind delivering to my mom at her camp site as a funny gift. Instead Nicole went above and beyond to go to a local nursery, pick out this beautiful arrangement, and hand deliver it to my mom on the day. She took time out of her day away from her own mom to do this. I can't begin to express how much she and this company came through for my family in these challenging times. On top of all of that, my parents are loving their stay here. If this is how far they go for a non-customer, just think what they will do for you. If you're looking to stay around Howard, CO you must stay here! Thank you Pleasant Valley RV Park!

Wonderful, quiet little park on the Arkansas river, which we hear instead of traffic. Josh & Nicole are hardworking and helpful, as are the camp hosts Charlie and Lorra. Quiet, serene setting close to Salida and Buena Vista. Thank goodness they actually enforce the park rules for those of us who don't appreciate drunken partiers, people who ignore speed limit signs and put little kids at risk, and rude people who don't control or pick up after their dogs like the rest of us. We've extended our stay twice and plan to come back for a few months every summer. What a beautiful little gem!

I can only recommend this campground if you enjoy the feeling of being toddlered by the camp host and owners. The staff are Karen's who will consistently make you feel like you are being watched. Will reprimand you for driving 1 MPH over the posted speed inside the park. Will track cars and visitors intently. We have stayed at many campsites and enjoy peace and quiet as much as the next family. However, this establishment has overwhelming rules and regulations that have made it hard to say anything positive anymore besides the gorgeous views.

NOT WORTH IT. WORST PLACE EVER ! The name is seriously misleading. None of the owners are at all pleasant, they tried to "help" us back in our camper and they were completely crooked. Then when we tried to back it in again since they put us in crooked one of the owners walked out and said if you have a problem you can leave when we were just trying to straighten out, then she stayed to watch and after we got it backed in to where we weren't crooked she said we were to far from the pavement. The hook ups are so far away from the camper we had three sewer hookups and we barely stretched it to reach. The owners go around telling you your dogs must be on leashes which is understandable except when it comes to there dogs or their friends dogs that were not once on leashes the entire time we were there. We tried moving the picnic table, that is literally 4 foot long and they had a problem with that too. Save yourself the time, money, and hassle because this is the worst camp ground ever. They even tell you where you have to park your truck or attached trailer. None of the spots are even level you have to have the front of your trailer almost on the ground to even level out your trailer, and there dog park is a joke. There is nothing but dead grass and a tiny red bench in there. These owners have to be in your business the entire trip there driving around on there golf carts stopping and always asking everyone what's going on. Go to Big Horn the people are much nicer and they actually have fun things.

Really enjoyed our stay at Pleasant Valley. Nice spacing between RVs, concrete pad with picnic table and even a grassy area. All utilities worked great. Stayed at site 4 which is in the front of the park and had a partial view of River and could hear the River rushing by.
