Play is in the West building of the beautiful Broadmoor property. There are bowling lanes and other games to play, along with a bar. The menu is limited, but apparently the food is good. I say "apparently" because as a person with food sensitivities, I found it extremely difficult to eat here. There were a few accommodations they could or would make. I am gluten and dairy free and the literal only option I was offered was nachos without cheese and sour cream. That turned out to be a large pile of tortilla chips with salsa and black beans, topped with a scoop of guacamole. I asked for chicken but that did not come. When I asked again I got about 1/4 cup of grilled, unseasoned chicken cubes. If you don't have food sensitivities or allergies I imagine this restaurant is fine.

Visiting 'Play' at the Broadmoor was an absolute delight! The culinary experience at the bowling alley exceeded all expectations, offering a diverse and delectable menu that far surpassed typical bar food. The atmosphere was incredibly inviting, with a lovely dim, calm ambiance that made it the perfect spot for families to enjoy a relaxed and enjoyable evening. What truly set 'Play' apart was their attention to dietary needs. The menu featured a thoughtful selection of gluten-free options, ensuring that every guest could savor the mouthwatering dishes without any concerns. The staff's knowledge and understanding of food allergies further emphasized their commitment to providing a safe and inclusive dining experience for all patrons. From the moment we stepped in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.Overall, the combination of exceptional food, a fantastic atmosphere, and a dedicated staff made our visit to 'Play' an unforgettable one. I highly recommend this venue not only for its entertainment but also for its outstanding culinary offerings. It's a true gem that sets the bar high for an enjoyable and inclusive dining experience. We can't wait to return for another delightful evening of entertainment and delectable dining. Thank you, 'Play,' for a memorable experience!

I read many reviews about this place mostly related to food. What you have in my opinion is a place to bowl, play pool, foosball, shuffleboard, etc. not a place I'd consider for dining. But with that said I truly enjoyed this place. Tried to book at the last minute for bowling but that on me to attempt that on a 2 day holiday period. We had a great time playing pool for free all night and that's a great thing

Such a laid back environment; we enjoyed dinner and drinks on the comfy chairs by the fire. Never felt rushed. Service was great. Not pushy and very accommodating. This is not a quiet venue, more of a fun atmosphere. Had the pulled pork slider and the pie of the day which was apple. Both yummy. Especially the coleslaw! Had the grasshopper shake which was quite tasty. My friend had the raspberry drink which was both beautiful and delicious!! We always come here when we are visiting the Broadmoor!!

...Reading Gerald M's review where he asks "how bad can the food be?" before telling us he could not eat 3/4ths of the food they ordered and then getting sick. THIS is my experience at Play. Here's the gist. Just don't order any food or creative beverages. Soft drinks, water, beer, and liquor are your best bets. Notice those are all things that don't spoil? My daughter and I both ordered drinks, mine a bloody mary, hers was a children's juice drink. Both of us thought our drinks had that fizzy fermented taste mandarin oranges get when they go south. We were both afraid to drink our drinks. For me not to finish a vodka drink is serious. We also ordered the poke and two salads after being told not to order the nachos, wings, or calamari by the lane next to us. They, too, were starving and refused to eat what they had ordered. Alas, there were no good choices and 90% of the food we ordered went to waste. Even the croutons were shitty. My advice? Eat somewhere else. Anywhere Else. Then come to Play to bowl and drink self-contained beverages. The space is lovely and so are the people who work there, just stay away from the food.

The menu is completely unbecoming of a 5-star hotel. When I walk into a restaurant at a hotel of the caliber and reputation of Broadmoor, no matter if it is a bowling alley or even if they had go-karts and mini-golf, I expect high quality food and high quality service. If I am playing $17 for a pizza, it had better be a really tasty pizza. Sadly, it was actually one of the worst restaurant pizzas I've ever had. This most recent experience was my third at Play in as many trips to Broadmoor and I keep going back thinking, "Surely I was mistaken, it can't be that farcically bad. I mean, it's at BROADMOOR...a place that people go out of their way to visit, a truly legendary and historic hotel. Surely it's better than I remember." But no. I'd rather eat in an actual bowling alley on the wrong side of town. At least there isn't that cynical aire of charging me my left ass cheek for food that tastes like something that came from slightly to the right. The service is also slow and honestly they act like they know it's bad food. I'm really hoping that they either give up on this concept and replace it with something useful or completely reboot it.

Burgers are only thing decent. Not worth the money. We ordered wings and spinach feta app. Both were small and had little flavor. Med falafel bowl was mealy and bland. Mushroom bao buns overpriced for size.

We arrived about 7 min prior to the 6pm reservation the Broadmoor concierge had arranged. We were seated immediately and the dining area was less than 1/2 full. Our waitress arrived within a minute to take our drink order. We placed our order as soon as the drinks were delivered. The concierge had recommended this place to us as offering "elevated bar food." Rather than "elevated," the menu seemed a bit tortured, as if they were trying a bit too hard to justify the pricing. Both my wife and I ordered the bacon extravagant cheeseburger. Our burgers arrived a full 45 minutes later. Q during that interval, we never heard from our waitress, even one time explaining the delay, checking on our drinks, or for any other reason. She finally arrived a few minutes after someone else had delivered the food to see if it came out all right. Well, everything looked fine, as we began to eat, it was obvious that the french fries were cool to warm at best, which was only accentuated by the fact that the ketchup arrived in a small ramekin that was ice cold. The burgers were served with a side of slaw. The slaw had absolutely no flavor and was basically just shredded cabbage. When we had finished eating, I had to flag down the waitress to ask for a check, again having never been offered a refill on our drinks. Although she was pleasant, she should be extremely grateful for the mandatory 20% gratuity automatically included. Among my wife and I numerous trips to the Broadmoor over the last 20 years, this was by far our most disappointing dining experience.

We went here recently and were extremely disappointed. The food was expensive and the Ahi was inedible. One person had stomach issues all night after dinner. The staff were not attentive and yet there was an automatic 20% tip added. Water wasn't refilled, drinks were not offered, and we needed additional condiments and had to go ask as no one stopped by to check. Ice cream was delivered without spoons. The food selection was poor and the seats were uncomfortable. We would not recommend. Nicer restaurants in the Springs that are much more affordable and better service. Very disappointing for the Broadmoor.

I appreciate that they are open.... but they shouldn't compromise the quality of their offerings if that's the excuse for what we experienced. The menu is super-limited (pizzas and salads) right now - mid July 2020. The "wood fired" pizza has to be some sort of frozen concoction that they sprinkled a few leaves of fresh basil on the top. The kids burger and kids chicken tenders were the standard frozen variety.... but prices otherwise. The best part of the meal were the little ketchups!
