Pioneer Pizza

Subs we're delicious. Better than expected. I'm a hot sub kind of person and was glad they had a meatball option. You can also request any sub to be toasted. There is a restroom for customers. No seating but no problem for us, we ate on our tailgate. Service was great. Will definitely come back next time we're in town.

We were staying at a cabin in the Cripple Creek area and saw the reviews of this place. Put in our order for a large supreme type pizza and it was ready to go in a jiffy. The guy making the food (the owner, I presume) was super helpful with baking tips and instructions for when we got it back to the cabin. It was spot on and delicious with quality ingredients. I would totally recommend it. I only wish we would have stayed in the area a little longer to try some of those yummy looking sandwiches.

As a single dad I can't recommend this place enough. Fast & friendly service. The pizzas are great and so are the sandwiches, I haven't had everything yet, but I plan on making a tour of the menu.

Great sandwiches! Tru the Scooby Doo. Always great service. Easy to get too. Both pizza and sandwiches are good.

Great food and friendly service. We ordered sandwiches and a take & bake pizza. It was friendly for my 14 yr old kid. No seating available.

We are here while on vacation and it was excellent. We ordered the scooby doo it was great, the chicken salad was savory, the Pioneer pizza is in the oven now but smells great. This place is very family friendly and the service was excellent. Our kids loved it!!!

I was very surprised to see a take and bake pizza joint so remote, and my party and I were hopeful it would be good experience. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The first strike against this place was the guy that took our order, he seemed so impaired and acted as if we were keeping him from falling asleep. I don't allow my employees to attend work high, however, I don't think this pizza place implements the same rules. I am under the impression that the individual we encountered was not the owner as he seemed a bit too young and inexperienced. He was Caucasian with brown hair and about 30ish. The second strike against Pioneer Pizza was the quality of the food. The toppings were sparse even though we ordered extra for our meat lovers, sadly it looked as though we got the scraps from the end of the day. Yuck! We were too exhausted to dump the pizza and go to one of the other restaurants in town, so we decided to take the pizza to our VRBO and add the lacking ingredients. To our disappointment the pizza baked like a limp wet rag even though we cooked it according to the printed instructions. In closing, after the terrible treatment we experienced from the employee working that day and the horrendous quality of the pie we were given, I will definitely not be returning to Pioneer Pizza when visiting Cripple Creek.

Spent a week in the mountains coming up from Texas. We found this small pizza/ sub shop on Yelp. Picked up a take and bake pizza to cook at the cabin. Excellent pizza, great crust, awesome fresh ingredients. This is a must stop if your in the area. Highly recommend!

Amazing food! Best food in Colorado! I've been in Colorado for two weeks on vacation. This is the first food I have found that hasn't made me sick!The pizza is fabulous! Generous on the toppings. The sub sandwiches are even better! It is really hard to choose! This place deserves six stars!

This is our go-to spot for a quick bite in CC - subs, pizza, and salads are awesome. The owner is incredibly friendly and he doesn't skimp on the toppings (on anything)! We've tried the majority of the subs they offer, and none have disappointed, our go-to subs are the Aloha, Outlaw, and of course, the Scooby-doo.If you follow the directions given, and don't loose track of time by having a beer on your back deck, the pizza will turn out amazing!
