Perkolated Peaks

If you're road-tripping through Colorado, this is a must-stop-coffe-stop. A man with a passion for VW busses and coffee combined his loves and created Perkolated Peaks. A converted '75 VW bus into a coffee shop. Sure, it's a little gimicky - I mean, we can get coffee almost anywhere these days. But, the experience is half the value, and when I get my coffee out of a VW bus... somehow it just tastes better.TIP: This place is only open seasonally (in the summer... I mean, winter in CO is just too cold). So check the Facebook page when it's cold to make sure they are open.

Really disappointed. The place looks really cool and what a great spot for coffee. My partner got an Americano that was super weak and tasted like someone just dunked a few beans in hot water, and I got a latte that was lukewarm at best and lacked coffee flavor. Maybe this was a new gal just learning how to make coffee? I hope it was an aberration. I don't think I will try it again. Go to Leadville there are a couple of places to get good coffee there.

I love this place! I recently moved to Leadville and now I'm even closer to my favorite coffee spot!

Really wish I had Yelped this place before stopping and seen the mediocre reviews! I was told that the burritos were pre-rolled and re-heated, but that they were made locally.What I received was a commercially-produced burrito with a long ingredient list, full of preservatives and undesireables.It was wrapped with a printed label reminiscent of a 7-Eleven or gas-station burrito.Made in Colorado, yes.The burrito wrap itself was tasteless and chewy while the inside filling was just indescernable nasty mush.It didn't taste 'as' bad as I expected; still I took but a few bites.Shame on these arrogant poseur ersatz-hippies!I left a dollar and change in the tip jar and the dude made a nasty comment, dripping in sarcasm, about how I was "oh so very very generous"These are literally the worst type of people that one encounters in Colorado, and they certainly aren't locals!

Cool little cafe. Very friendly. Good coffee and some snacks to go with. Worth a drive up to Twin Peaks if you are in the area.

I had a breakfast burrito and got so sick.. then looked at the package, and the sell by date was 26 days pass.. so I went back and told the guy, he got really made and said it was a misprint on the sticker... whatever.. never once said sorry.. so avid at all cost, because of he don't care about the quality of his burritos what else is lacking attention in these pandemic times

What a trap. First and foremost the food is frozen grocery store burritos from Aurora, Colorado. They are microwaved upon ordering. Absolutely disgusting. The guy working this "microwave in a decorated truck" is rude af. Absolute jerk. I don't even know what else to say except if you've checked these reviews then drive just twenty minutes to Leadville or Aspen for food or coffee.

Owner leaves food waste in their yard causing problems for bears and other wildlife. Overnight visitors and residents routinely complain about owner's noise and their attention seeking behavior. This business does not respect the environment or their community.

What a fantastic place to stop at and get great coffee and great burritos!!! I have been coming bye for two years and the quality never ceases to amaze!! Great work Bob!
