So 26 years later we finally make it back to the Peppertree which all those years ago was our favorite anniversary spot. Married for 32 years, we decided to give it a go to see if it remained a special place. For years, I have attempted to recreate the dish minus all of the flare and rich flavors on our grills.We were impressed with the restaurant and how fantastic it still looked and we always love the outstanding view of Colorado Springs. We booked our reservation through OpenTable and set the time for 6:30. We arrived a bit earlier than planned but the staff was accommodating and seated us immediately giving us the choice of three tables. After we sat down, we picked out a fantastic bottle of red wine and enjoyed the amazing culinary smells.We decided to go with our favorite the 6oz Pepper steak served with a salad and side of your choice. We both opted to try the Dill Vinaigrette which was superb and unlike anything I have had before. The fresh dill took the salad over the top. And I forgot to mention the bread that we were served before the bottle of wine arrived! Soft in the middle with a great crunch and my wife asked for butter which came out soft and warm.The service was perfect - never felt rushed and never felt like we were being watched. The staff had such amazing synchronicity and teamwork that made the night even more special.The table side cook on our steaks was also fun to watch as Rob delivered the perfect cook to my wife's well done filet. The filet was just as amazing as I remembered could cut it with a spoon!! The flavor of the mango chutney and the fresh cracked pepper sure made the dish of course the basting in butter didn't hurt ;)The baked potato side we ordered loaded with butter, cheese, bacon, sour cream and chives. There was nothing left at meals end.Then just when we thought we were done the staff served us an ice cream Sunday to celebrate our special anniversary event.When we finally departed for our hotel, we were waiting for our Uber when the owner, Max asked us how everything was and we explained how we made memories from the 90's with amazing dinners. He was super excited to hear our feedback and offered us a ride if we needed one. We already have decided that we will be back again!

Just remodeled was very nice. Looks out over the city. I had the pepper steak 8oz and my wife had the lamb chops double cut. Both were amazing. I like what I like but I would be happy with anything on the menu, knowing it would be the best I could get anywhere. Service was outstanding and friendly. It's Classy not cheap. I go there for special occasions, Anniversary and Birthday's.

Went here for valentines dinner right after we got married. We both got the table side pepper steak with scalloped potatoes and an appetizer of escargot. The scalloped potatoes and escargot were to die for. So flavorful and perfect. Was not a fan of the sweet fruit compote stuff they put on top of our steaks. We prefer our steak savory and flavorful. Because we were celebrating getting married that day, they didn't charge us dessert (chocolate cake). Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Will definitely return.

This was an amazing experience all around! We arrived earlier than our reservation so we sat at the bar and enjoyed a cocktail with Tyler, the bartender. We got sat earlier than our time slot which was nice and we had a great view out the windows. The service was impeccable and we were never waiting. While sitting we got to see a mama deer and two babies walk by and even enjoyed some fireworks. The drinks were great and so was the food. Chef Jake was amazing with everything he prepared and put out to our table. The table side cooking was such a nice a fun touch. Our plates were perfectly timed out to where again, we were never waiting! We will definitely be traveling back to Colorado Spring just to eat here again. Thank you for a great experience Peppertree!

Outstanding food and service. When you drive up to the underwhelming outside of the restaurant, your nose will pick up a delicious aroma wafting on the air! Once inside, you will see a newly remodeled 18 table main room and a cute 7 seat bar nestled into a cute wine display room.Service was excellent with a knowledgeable team.Wonderful shrimp cocktail appetizer with outstanding homemade cocktail sauce. We enjoyed the table prepared pepper filet, a wet aged bone in ribeye, delicious dill/cucumber and blue cheese salads, and augratin and baked potatoes that came with the meal. Pro tip: order the ribeye with sauce on the side. I couldn't believe the flavor of this meat. It rivaled every dry aged ribeye I've had in the past. We also enjoyed a side of Bernaise sauce.Cherries jubilee was prepared table side along with creme Brule. Chef John stopped by our table, and we learned a little bit about The Peppertree remodeling. Don't judge this book by its cover! Well priced for some of the best steaks we've ever eaten. Well worth the trip from Denver metro. Make sure to make reservations

Newly renovated in 2024. Amazing experience! The owner came to introduce herself and told us about the 20 year history of the restaurant. The food was delicious and we had table side steaks and bananas foster! Recommend the sea bass and steaks! celebrated a birthday here and had a great dinner.

Top notch service! From the minute we arrived we were spoiled. The bartender came and took our orders from the table then served us amazing dirty martini's. Done right! Even got the wine breathing so we were ready to drink it with our meal. The caesar salad was made table-side, garlicky and so damn good. Served on an icy cold plate and the lettuce was cold and crispy. Not everyday you get a COLD salad plate. We ordered the pepper steak and the steak diane. Cooked to perfection and the chutney on the pepper-steak was so unique and went very well with the meat. The diane was served with a table-side sauce that I hope to copy at home. Don't blow it by not ordering the bananas foster. The care and love that went into it was so special. It was fantastic. The service was impeccable. Beautiful view and so inviting. Well done everyone!

2nd time enjoying the food and atmosphere at the peppertree restaurant! We enjoyed some amazing new to us food, including lobster bisque (incredible), cocktails (all were delicious), and lobster tail. Unbelievably delicious!!! Can't wait for another special event to enjoy this incredible restaurant again!
