My company has had several small conferences down here. This is an absolute great getaway for teambuilding. It's quiet, historic, it makes you feel extremely peaceful the entire time you're here. The grounds are well-maintained and covered with deer walking all over the ground. There's great places to sit outside eat chat and just take in the fresh air in the mountains. Overall this is great selection for small conference

The ultimate fancy restaurant of the springs. The whole Broadmoor area is beautiful especially at night with lights reflecting upon their pond. The food is great and a little pricey but that's to be expected with anything in the Broadmoor. There is a dress code.Food:The food is as beautiful as it is delicious. The menu changes often so expect a unique experience. They offer one of two tasting menu experiences - three or five courses. We went with a three course meal and found it to be plenty of food. One of the stand out dishes was the beef carpaccio which has a flavored oil drizzled on top of a bed of thin raw beef, caviar, and a variety of seasonal vegetables. The meal is served with a few types of breads to try, my personal favorite is the pesto roll (this is still being served as of 5/10/21). Service: The service is excellent and they did a great job of detailing each and every item on your plate. There is an automatic 20% service charge added to the bill. Location:I will admit I got a little lost trying to find the restaurant. It's located on the second floor of one of the tower buildings but ask any attendant and they can direct you right over. We parked at the outer garage and walked over which probably took about 5-7 minutes. Ambiance:They have live music in the restaurant. The décor and style of the restaurant is elegant with a more old fashioned feel to it.

The dish with the prosciutto (speck ham) is CHESTRNUT tortellini and it is OUT OF THIS WORLD if you know how to enjoy food. This truffle, she is fantastic. Many thanks. The Hamachi was delightful the passion fruit was a blast! Great. There's a good amount of zest as befits an excellent restaurant.

A great experience and end to our babymoon/Christmas experience at the Broadmoor. We opted for the 3 course meal but still got some extra tastings along the way. I enjoyed the mocktail I had as well which was actually a drink with vodka but the delightful waitress said they could make it without. It has muddled grapes, lime, and soda. Very refreshing and delicious! The halibut wasn't my favorite and I wish I could've had some meat or something else satisfying (but I'm pregnant!). Haha. So needless to say, i went with the halibut fish recommendation! The scallops and pasta first course was delightful! The dessert baba was my husband's favorite and mine was the sweet potato pie. I didn't care for the poach pears on top but I loved the sweet potato part. The baba tasted like a donut. The amuse was a bite full of hummus and a nice teaser to start the meal. I would recommend it. It's one of the better places to eat at the broadmoor and you can't beat the ambiance.

I have visited the Broadmoor multiple times and on this trip finally dined at Penrose Room. This is still Colorado's only five diamond restaurant. Ambiance: The restaurant is classically themed, very old school with large chandeliers. The views were excellent. Service: Our main server was friendly, but she seemed out of place, this is the type of restaurant where you expect a classically trained server with 10 plus years of experience. She was good, but could have worked at any restaurant. The head waiter was excellent though and we felt welcome. A 20% service charge is automatically charged. Food: Some dishes stood out, the black truffle Mac and cheese made our night. Max the chef came to our table and generously shaved a lot of truffle and introduced himself. The venison was tender and the Froi Gras was buttery. Aside from the aforementioned dishes, everything else was good, but not exceptional. Because we are in Colorado, I thought that wild game should have been the focus instead of seafood. Maybe it was because I ordered the chefs tasting. For over $300 per a couple I expected to be blown away.

Was very much looking forward to taking my fiancée to enjoy the tasting menu at "the best restaurant in Colorado" for her birthday. Service was outstanding but the food was really disappointing. Heavy, uninspired, unimaginative. By the time the cheese and dessert rolled around I just wanted to pay my $800 and leave. Every other tasting menu on the planet I've tried that had a similar price point has always left me absolutely wowed.Sadly, such was not the case here. For example, one of the courses was a "Kobe beef skewer," which was a tough slice of meat served with a dollop of hummus (that was skinned over by being in the air too long) and a mini pita. Embarrassing. The service staff could read the disappointment on our faces and bent over backwards to be accommodative. I appreciated their efforts, but the only part of the meal that was spectacular was how spectacularly mediocre (and that's being generous) it was.Forbes and AAA should rethink their rating on this place.

Since this place won so many awards, we drove almost 2 hours during a weekday after work to dine here. I know, we're crazy. The service is of course really good. They really cater to you like personal butlers. I kind of expected this since they have a rather strict dress code and the hotel just exudes old rich and extravagance vibes. On to the food. Wasn't impressed at all. Jalea of seafood - some of it was actually chewy, so I think they overlooked it. lamb - parts of it was gamey, i definitely didn't expect that from a restaurant like this. Truffle egg espuma - my favorite dish! It's just egg and potato but it's sooooooo delicious! This was definitely worth the drive.Halibut - it's ok, not good, not bad Pistachio gateaux - not goodSoufflé - delicious but could be airier. A bit too cakey. So a really good egg dish and really good service.

Turning 50 called for some extravagance and such was bestowed upon my humble self with a long weekend stay at the famous Broadmoor, complete with dining and activities...... yes I am beyond lucky! Now one of the highlights was to be the full on tasting menu at the equally renown "Pemrose Room" at the top of the South Tower, thus the missus and I got dolled up and ready for some high end, elongated dining!Right off the bat we already knew how legendary the service was to be as frankly, the Broadmoor specializes in impeccable service from top to bottom-- one of the most notable features of this ultra lux property. This of course was no different as we were eagerly seated despite arriving 30 min ahead of time to soak up the ambience and maybe a cocktail to get the mood set.Ambience: this is where I find myself a tad stymied: the only way I can describe the dining room is as follows: cruise line mid 70's-- from the low ceiling with gaudy chandeliers, to the seemingly ancient and ornately colored carpet, I felt like I stepped out of a time machine.... the "jazzy trio" that supplied the evening's entertainment also looked as if they once headlined the cruise ship circuit back in the 70's down to the dress that the singer wore..... some graced the dance floor throughout the evening which enhanced that kind of awkward "wedding / bar mitzvah" vibe that I couldn't decide whether it was endearing or corny to the max! So be it..... the food will dazzle, right??The Chef's tasting menu consists of "about" 5 courses and with the added cheese course (we added) and bonus items that our chef added, it came to more like 8 courses total. The standouts of the evening were the black cod, which was wonderfully delicate and served with a cauliflower purée and black garlic reduction, and the Hamache served with dolloped salmon roe, rice crisps and fresh cucumber. The scallop dish was served also with cauliflower, this time a seasoned cross sectioned floret topped with a chimichurri and an ornament of sweet curry and cumin. The main course was a Colorado lamb chop served sous vide and seared atop asparagus, a layered potato cake and a red wine demi reduction. The lamb was, of course, high quality but I was puzzled by the thick fat layer that was left on the chop, that is usually carved away, giving this cut it's famous "lollipop" shape. Maybe some enjoy the fat?? For me it was a let down of sorts as lamb fat tends to be very gamey. The dessert courses were fine-- the cheeses offered up were good but the array unbalanced-- 4/5 were hard cheeses and the only soft rind was a blue goat. The sweets were their signature birthday chocolate ganache and a refreshing merengue, mango, sorbet which paired well with the moscato provided as the wine pairing. We were treated to a visit by the executive chef whose resume bullets include French Laundry and Alinea, despite the fact that he looked like he could be 17 yrs old. Nevertheless it's always nice to meet the chef when you are being offered his very best. All in all the price came to slightly under 800.00 for the evening, which I thought was "ok?" But frankly, I have had much more creative and daring tasting menus in dining rooms that didn't evoke an evening in the Catskills. I doubt I would return to Penrose any time soon, but for what it was it was a "kitschy" and decent evening of high dining. In any case, go to the Broadmoor a lease once in your life!!!!!Robbo, Parker, CO

Spectacular chefs tasting menu. I've done quite a few tastings in LA and honestly wasn't expecting much in Colorado Springs. Proven wrong. This place is classy, located in a side tower at the Broadmoor Hotel. You take an elevator to the top floor and are greeted by live music and a superb view. Service is great, although I had a different person for every course and option. It was kind of funny. In any case, I posted photos of my meal. Everything was delicious and creative. The speed of the courses was perfect. Although only 5 courses, there were really 12 separate items. Overall a great deal for the quality of meal.

I was invited here for my aunt/uncle anniversary dinner. I see why it's 5 stars. The views are amazing, food was amazing, service was amazing. I told my spouse he can sell whatever he needs to sale to make this the location for my next birthday celebration. It's not everyday that you get a 5 star experience like this but it was worth every penny.
