Simple, fast, delicious, and they serve Coors Banquet. Can't get any better. Order up bigger than you would think you would eat cause it's delicious.

This place was awesome. Great staff and this is where the locals go. They have an amazing bar, and you could tell by the conversation that everyone was local. On this particular night, I wanted simply and simply is what they specialize in. No fancy triple ground meat foo-foo burgers here. Think In &Out burger with table service .We both got a Double Double and it tasted like heaven in my mouth! After a day running the Arkansas (did the gorge twice) I felt justified in indulging in an old fashioned, timeless burger.

A hidden gem! Tasty burgers and fries for unbeatable prices. Staff were friendly and the service was quick. The ambiance is like stepping into an old school diner. We would definitely eat here again! 4.5 stars

If all you're looking for is a milk shake or malt, you could do worse. Cute little shop lots of photos from the past. Simple thin cheese burger seasoned ok very basic, frozen fried French fries. Good service real friendly.

It's always a special day when I get to go to the Owl Cigar Store! If you're looking for a blast from the past with that old timey feel.... Look no further. You'll feel like you stepping into a friendly old diner from yesteryear with terrific prices and better people. Everyone is nice and the food is on point. Super fresh and tasty. My only other piece of advice is to order at least a double double because the patties are thin. I drive close to 70 miles at least once a year for this experience. If you're passing through Canon City or close by, do yourself a favor and drop in.

This is probably the cheapest burger place in existence right now! I paid a total of $6 for burger and fries altogether! But keep in mind this is like old school diner/burger joint. No lettuce tomatoes, etc on your burger, just the basic of basics

Life long great place! Played many a pool game and ate many an egg burger there! I loved being there with my husband.

A work friend recommended this place and swore up and down that the burgers here are the best, so I packed up my kids and hubs and went in. We got there at 545, they closed at 7 so we figured we had plenty of time to get 4 simple burgers. We sat in a booth and didn't get greeted for a while, so we looked over the menu plaque and decided what we'd all get. The kids got basic cheeseburgers and shared an order of fries, hubs got the triple triple egg, I got the double double egg and a side of fries. Simple enough. The waitress finally comes over, we place our food and drink orders all at once. Its 6 at this point. 20 minutes go by, thats fine, food takes time. 40 minutes go by, and were getting antsy. Kids are cranky and bored, theres pool tables but not suited for 4yr olds. 7 o'clock rolls around and we have no food, the waitress hasn't been back and were seated in the booth nearest the "chef", watching her make orders for tables that came in after us. I'm ready to leave at this point, I'm hangry and pissed watching everyone who came in after us eat. Hubs talks me into waiting. Waitress comes and refills his soda finally and says it should be ready soon. 710, we finally get our food. And it is MEDIOCRE at best. The burgers weren't seasoned and the eggs on them were like the kind you get at McDonald's on a breakfast sandwich. I'll own that I should have asked how the eggs came, but microwaved wasn't what I assumed I'd get. All in all, the waitress didn't seem to give a shit about us or our experience, though people who seemed to be regulars of the place got great service. I am in the industry so It's not hard for me to watch and see how things are in a restaurant. We never got a check or checked to see how we liked the food, so we choked it down and went to the bar to pay. It was an even 20$, and for the first time in my adult life, I left a zero dollar tip. I usually tip 20% even if the service is lacking but this was downright terrible. Whats crazy is that I could totally see myself being a regular here, the pool tables and draft beer would have had me hooked. The prices on the burgers? Freaking awesome! But that one experience alone ensured that I'll never go back. I guess the TLDR is prices are great, food and service kinda suck.

Probably the best place to get food in Cañon city at the moment. Prices are affordable and service is ok. Burgers are solid, and fries are good too.

Always enjoy the simplicity of the menu. If you want gourmet go someplace else and pay their prices. These are good ol flat top grilled burgers and fresh hot fries.
