Otto's Food Cart

We drove by Otto's Food cart in Alma, CO after our September afternoon adventure through Boreas Pass. From Breckenridge, we headed out Boreas Pass Road. You can complete the Boreas Pass drive as quickly or leisurely as you'd like. For us, we started the drive around 2pm and found ourselves passing by Otto's about 6pm. We were so hungry and weren't sure what to expect from Team Otto's. If you like sandwiches, I can't recommend Otto's enough. Their sandwiches are fantastic--incredibly delicious. Don't miss out on their fries and homemade dipping sauces too! They serve breakfast all day, have a several vegan options, including a burrito. I had the original chicken sandwich and it blew my socks off. It was so delicious. I savored every bite. My dining partner and I shared sweet potato and regular fries--so darn delicious. They have all these homemade dipping sauces which, I think, is where the magic lies. Get at least two that your heart desires and you won't be disappointed. The Otto's team were so kind and friendly. The food and service were so good, 5/5, I thought about returning to Otto's the rest of the trip. I'll be back for sure. Just a note, it was cool and raining the day we were there. They have outdoor tables, but we opted to drive and find a spot with a view close by and had dinner in the car, it worked out great. It took us about 30 minutes or so to make the drive back to Breckenridge. It's a beautiful drive from Breckenridge to Alma, certainly a fun little excursion for foodies if you are in Breckenridge and just want a darn delicious sandwich. September 2024

The food at Otto's food cart is absolutely delicious, the cheesesteak is so good that it makes me ashamed to be a Philadelphian LOL, because this cheesesteak is better than any cheesesteak I had back home! The flavor is soooo on point! I make sure to stop every time we pass through town! Absolutely love you guys! Thanks for all the cheesesteaks guys! You rock! I love the storefront restaurant as well but I stay loyal to the food cart!

Hands down the best chicken sandwich in Colorado! Also... the BEST service I've ever had at a food cart. Every time we visit we make a special trip to Otto's!I do love some Chick Fil A but Otto's has them beat by a mile!

Amazing service and fantastic food. Who would have thought you could find "to die for" fries and chicken sandwich out of a food truck?! We shared a sandwich and fries and they cut the sandwich for us which was so nice. The service was so friendly and it's obvious they really care. Thanks for a great lunch!

Not sure if this was delicious naturally of if it was delicious simply becuase we were starving after hiking some 14ers around kite lake. Either way, we will be back! All of the food was great! Those chicken fingers were amazing. The kids food initially seemed pricey until I saw how much food they gave. The Cubano hit the spot for sure. My brother was convinced they used yum yum sauce for the fries and chicken. Maybe they do. I didn't ask. But the sauce was yummy for sure. Super friendly crew. Asked to buy a sticker. They only had one left at the time. Not the one I wanted so they gave it to me free. Thanks guys, it's on the 4runner as we speak. Fun little outdoor sitting area. Nearly got rained on. But it passed. Also nice they have a bathroom. Which we didn't realize until we started walking around.

Absolutely amazing food! The chicken sandwich was the best one I have had in a long time. The staff was nice & made nice conversation with us. It was cool to be able to have my dog at the picnic tables with us & eating outside at the highest incorporated town in the US was pretty cool!

Ottos Food Cart has an incredible menu with a great variety - especially in a town that does not have much. Every item is made to order, so the wait is a bit longer than you would expect but again it's very homemade. My biggest complaint was the prices - the prices seemed outrageous for a food cart. A simple menu item will run you at least $20. Worth the stop though if that is not an issue for you.

Otto's was absolutely wonderful! The food was incredible, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was picturesque. We enjoyed the Carolina BBQ Pulled Pork & Otto's Cheesesteak with sweet potato fries. Delicious! So good that we went back a second day in a row!

Stopped on the way to copper to fuel up/cure a hangover for a day of skiing. Ask Keam to give you the spiel on the fried chicken. Every breakfast burrito should be like these ones. Hash brown, pocket of cheese, crispy tortilla and so much more.Planning to stop on drive back to get a chicken sandwich and recap our ski day with the guys.
