I have been wanting to try Osae Sushi Ramen Bistro because, at least in part, they had chicken Karaage (a dish I love!) on their menu. Since I was going to a movie nearby, I decided to stop in and try them for a late lunch. It was pretty busy, but the open tables were clean and neat. The staff seemed eager to please and friendly! I was seated immediately. I ordered iced tea which was brought quickly and after a quick perusal of the menu, decided to try the Chicken Karaage Curry bowl. Since I was in a little bit of a hurry, I did not order other items that I normally would've tried like their cucumber salad or their Gyoza. The bowl was brought out quickly and was very hot. There were six good size pieces of chicken with onions and seasoning and sauce over a good portion of sticky rice. It was delicious! In fact, I could not finish all the rice and took it home. While eating, I looked over the menu more carefully and decided that when I return and bring my husband, I will definitely be trying either OSAE TORI (Japanese breaded fried chicken with sweet garlic sauce) or the CHERRY BLOSSOM Bowl (Classic Japanese fried chicken. onion, scallion. red pepper. served with sweet spicy garlic sauce). And my husband and I both love Thai salt and pepper tofu so we will be trying the Japanese version when we come again.

Was back in the Springs visiting family and we had to make our usual trek over to Osae. Not only is this family's favorite place, but mine too when visiting. We arrived a bit before the dinner hour so pretty much had the place to ourselves. Family has their specials they always order including the mango roll, California roll, and the tempura California roll. I love their salmon roll so ordered that along with the Alaska roll, and several pieces of salmon nigiri. I'm so picky about my sushi but this place always have fresh fish and have never been turned off by ill-smelling or tasting fish. My son ordered the Japanese fried rice, which was a big bowl full of veggies, chicken and beef (he asked they hold the shrimp). Speaking from experience and past trips, I've also ordered the Udon bowls and they are always so good, filled with lots of veggies, noodles and meats. Highly recommend!

Clean facilities. Good customer service. Average food. I tried a few different rolls and found all to be extremely similar in taste despite its description indicating otherwise. As a huge takoyaki lover, the takoyaki maki was the final roll I had placed all my hopes into. Although menu shared that it was deep fried, the rolls came out warm with a soggy exterior and the flavor just wasn't there in my opinion.

Never heard of this place until one of my friends suggested we go here for dinner. Easy to find. Plenty of planking. The service was great. Enough tables to entertain guests. A good size menu. The food was delicious but I was a little turned off that they serve the food (specifically the ramen) in plastic containers. Other than that I was very happy with the overall experience.

Osae is a neighborhood favorite that just happens to have excellent, quality ingredients and an extensive menu despite its small size. From the outside, it looks a little sketch, and TBH, a few of the businesses in this little strip mall next to the fire station and across from the DAV aren't the best. But Osae sets itself apart by keeping it classy. I've visited at lunchtime on a rainy weekend when it was packed with a line out the door, and I've had a cozy, quiet date night on a weeknight. All experiences, though very different, were great. The service is always friendly, respectful, and efficient. And the food--well, the photos speak for themselves. If you like spice, ramen, sushi, or udon, this is your spot. On the most recent visit, we spent about $80 for two including tip and split a bunch of appetizers/sides as well as sushi and ramen. Definitely ask for suggestions--you can't go wrong!

Awesome little joint in an unassuming old strip mall. Service was great and the staff was super friendly. But the real star? The food! The udon was perfectly cooked and chewy and the ramen broth was rich and flavorful! I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Really really good food at good prices. Great staff, friendly owner. Ramen is really well done, and the sushi is pretty basic but well executed at a lower price point.

Our go to ramen spot to help that authentic Japanese ramen! After going to Japan, this is the closest thing we can find to the real thing in the area. Highly recommend! Their takoyaki is great and our daughter (9 years old) loves their sushi

More like 3.5 stars...this is a quaint restaurant with great service and decent ramen. Upon entering, the staff was friendly and very helpful in providing recommendations. I ended up getting the Tonkotsu ramen with chashu. Broth was great, noodles were fine, but there wasn't much chashu and it was really thin which is different from what I'm used to.

Run don't walk to eat here. Everything and I mean everything was incredibly delicious. My family of 5 and I had a wide variety of dishes here and we were all highly satisfied. The service was excellent and if we lived in Colorado Springs we would become regulars. If you are passing through be sure to hit up this place!
