Old Stage Riding Stables

Wonderful staff. The road was a bit more tough than described but it was worth it between the horses and the scenery on the way up. The person I went with and myself forgot gloves but they were kind enough to give some, as well as a pouch to put personal items in while on the ride. Everyone was very nice and understanding. Very knowledgeable on a variety of questions as well:)

Well worth the money spent. We had an exclusive ride with our tour guide Sky. She was great for conversation and we went through a fantastic trail. It was very beautiful. It was an experience like no other. The horses were very well trained. Everyone who works there is very nice and friendly. Definitely the kind of place where you feel at home and as if you're part of the family. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I definitely recommend them.

Perfect way to start our last day in Colorado! The road up was a little wild - but fun, and amazing views! Jenny was excellent at keeping us informed - there had been some snow and the road was muddy and she was worried we wouldn't make it without 4WD - but she kept checking and texting me to keep me informed. She advised us just not to come down the driveway and we made it just fine! So glad thanks for giving us the time to decide Jenny!Logan was our guide, he was excellent! Calm and kind. My 13 yo rode at the front of our line and it was SO NICE to hear any chit chat up there (traveling alone with him I think we both needed him to have someone else to talk to). Logan adjusted saddles along the ride as needed, asked about us in general (where we were from, what our hobbies were...) told us the history of the stables and some local folklore. The horses were so sweet and gentle. I really enjoyed our ride and highly recommend to anyone in the area.

We had a great time at Old Stage Riding stables. There were 3 in our group, and we actually got lucky and had our own tour guide just for us. We did the hour ride and rode through beautiful trails on Cheyenne mountain. Plenty of aspens and wildlife.

I loved this experience so much! The horses all had sweet, gentle, quirky personalities and the instructors were patient and fun! While riding through the forest, the instructor informed us what we were actually looking at - types of trees, rocks/minerals, plants, signs of animals nearby and took our picture after without us even asking. So thoughtful. We learned so much about Colorado in an hour. The drive up really isn't too bad, (unless you don't like heights like me) just take your time though! It's beautiful!!!

Owner is wonderful, accommodating, and great person to be around. Trails were gorgeous especially during fall season.

We were in town for a girls weekend. Our tour guides were so nice and informative. We really enjoyed our ride. Stayed and had a snack and drink at the cantina afterwords. Highly recommend!

This ride was not as promised as there were literally no views. Pretty boring, very slow ride through the woods. There were four people in our group. We were in single file the whole time and the 3rd and 4th of us in the group could barely hear the guide as she basically was just talking to the first two and did not raise her voice enough for us to hear. Never did she ask if we could hear or if we were doing ok. Finally, they put me in the back behind a horse that expelled smelly, loud gas frequently t/o the entire ride. Ridiculous amounts. Worst part was that they told me this was going to be the way that it was so I could be "prepared"...!? If it weren't so gross it would have been comical...

Was rescheduled and then cancelled due to inclement weather. Laurie was very amenable with a refund.
