Great neighborhood park and, as of this write-up, well-maintained by donated funds of the community since the city has cut back on funds. I have never seen it trashed, and I've witnessed deer and fox hanging out back here (the deer at least seem used to the humans).Sure, it's oddly-shaped and no doubt a small, family-oriented park, but it deserves more stars for its central location with varied terrain to the north, it feels safe, and has easy access to the High Chaparral Open Space. Backyards of homes abut the park. There is a volleyball sandpit (no net), and playground crawling with kids. Plenty of flat areas for a picnic, and parking is along the side of the road. I've brought my juggling equipment to practice, but most often I make it a point to route my running path through here. Most people are very nice.

I oddly formatted park. On the lower side of the park is a playground. On the high ground (Northern Part) of the park, there seems to be an area to go hiking around scrubs.

Just bought a house behind Old Farm Park. I have two small dogs. Are there any coyotes or any other wild life I need to worry about?

I wonder if anyone knows the history behind Old Farm Park. It was the Barnes Ranch run by John Barnes and his family. We used to rent horse pasture from them back in 1950s. The property was around 1000 acres with several spring-fed ponds. I stopped by the office at the park several years ago to see if anyone knew the history of the ranch. No one seemed interested in learning about the Barnes family and the property before it became a park. Too bad.
