If you're using GPS, you can put in 2600-2608 Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80904.The previous old downtown area of Colorado City, now a tourist destination with a lot of random gift shops and local history and flair, some restaurants and parking along the street and back municipal parking. It's an okay area to grab some things for visitors but the homeless just camped outside some of the shops like the bakery left it a bit sour.Good area if you like shopping and some interesting breakfast spots it looks like. Might pick up in business at night ( we were there early morning ). Note on a Sunday, not a lot is open before 10a or 11a... we walked around a bit and there was only really the bakery and a couple restaurants open.

My wife and I spent several hours shopping at all the different boutiques. We ate at a little place called Bon Tons. The food was sooooo good!!

We decided to walk down the main portion of Old Colorado City since we were in the area. It was not crowded which made it nice. My friend said it can be in the evenings when people head to dinner and drinks. We found street parking and as it was a holiday, didn't have to feed the meter. There are visitor parking lots as well but I'm not sure if you need to pay to park in them. There are lots of cute shops along the Main Street. Clothing, souvenirs, art, restaurants. And the walls of the buildings on the end have lovely murals painted on them. It was a nice walk and the stores were interesting to shop or look around in. We got some ice cream which was a nice break. Would recommend a walk here.

Okay if you like to shop and like looking into a lot of art shops than this is for you. They also have a whole lot of places that you can stop to eat. But as a tourist destination it rates low for me. HOWEVER that is my opinion because I am not much of a shopper nor do I want to go into an art shop every two buildings or so! The town is walkable and there are some public parking. Oh and there are a few cool murals on buildings.
