It's a calming space with great service. The various tastes are medicinal in nature but good. It's a place I appreciate

This is a nice little oasis in an area with normal bars and restaurants. I loved the relaxed vibe and super friendly people. They had both Tongan and Vanuatu kava. I had the Tongan and it was some of the smoothest and strongest kava I've had. Bonus points for giving me a shell to go! The only reason for 4 stars is I was hoping to try some of their specialty drinks and unfortunately they're not making them anymore.

I went here with my friends for the first time today. The server behind the bar was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped us out in deciding what to order. She even helpfully told us that if we signed up for their rewards we'd get a discount on our order!I'm not going to sugar coat it: kava does not taste good. It took me a few tries to down the drink I got (the Kracken, perfect for beginners!). It is not pleasant going down, but the after effects are really nice! We enjoyed a nice afternoon in the sunshine, feeling relaxed and calm. I don't know if I'd return to this Kava place, but I'm glad to have had the experience! If I were ever in a country where it originated from, I would be even more excited to try it there with this under my belt.

The Kava coladas are my favorite. I really like how the servers are knowledgeable and helpful. The specials are always fun and I like how this bar has books and games to pass the time. Because of how laid back this place is I always end up leaving having met a new friend.

This was a neat little place we found out about through a friend of ours. When our friend mentioned kava, my boyfriend told us this drink is huge in Hawaii and a few years ago, he and his friends were served this drink when they visited the tropical islands. He enjoyed it and thought I'd like it too. This stuff really does relax you. It's a natural sedative that calms your mood and mellows you out. At one point, I remember my mind completely free of any thoughts and really just enjoying the moment. I'm glad there's an natural alternative that helps with relaxation while the mind is still clear and capable of making conscious decisions.Btw, the lady making the drinks at bar was super sweet and better directed me as to what she thought I might like best. Thank you!

This is a great spot! The "kava-tenders" are always really kind and friendly and they'll walk you through the menu if you need it. Didn't have kava this time but had their on-tap kombucha and it was really great! I definitely suggest this trendy place, complete with at least two chess tables. Will definitely be back again!

My newest addiction! Incredibly friendly and informative staff. Kava is such an amazing alternative to anti anxiety medications and naturally relaxes literally your mind, body, and soul. I would highly recommend Ohana Kava Bar for sure!

We tried this place with our friends recommendation and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is relaxing. There is outdoor seating and plenty of indoor as well. The lady who owns it was helpful and very sweet. She gave me the best lemonade Kava drink that was so delicious!! I have never tried this before and was so super chill afterwards. It wasn't too strong at all and just perfect. Definitely engage and let her know what your looking for cause they also serve kumbucha and CBD drinks as well. Definitely returning!!

I had 3-4 seizures after drinking Ohana Kava between February and April 2021, I repeatedly brought it up the the manager and employees at the time that only when I drank their kava would I have seizures. The owner goes around telling people it only happens to people who mix drugs & alcohol (meanwhile he does not and will not drink the extract kava himself because in his own words he "doesn't know what's in it") Well I just celebrated 9 years clean from drugs & alcohol, so there's no chance of any drug interactions, plus dozens of other people have had seizures from drinking Ohana Kava in the last year besides me. Does the owner really think we're all on drugs? Or does he just not want to take responsibility for his company making people sick and have seizures?I also have a few words about unfair labor at Ohana. I live one block away from their N Academy location, and I used to live a block away from their downtown location. There was always this unspoken agreement between me and most of the employees there between 2019-2021; since I lived close by I would often get snapchats from Ohana employees asking me if I would bring in ALL the outside patio furniture AND take out ALL of their trash cans, recycling, and replace all trash bags in exchange for a free tab (~$40/night) it only took me about 30-40min so I always felt it was worth it. Instead of the owner offering me a job for all the help I did for the bar, or even giving me a single thank you ever; he accused me of asking his employees for free kava! (WTF) he also accused me of asking people to buy me kava at Ohana which I had never done once in the history of going there. In reality, I often bought other people kava, as a matter of fact a few of his customers still owe me north of $100+I have been to over 40 kava bars, Ohana Kava Bar is by far and wide the worst kava bar I have been to, it's ran by a delusional sociopath who has complete disregard & disrespect for his customers' health & wellbeing. His own employees steal from him and say awful things about him and he either doesn't know it, or is in denial. He needs to take some sort of training on how to be a better person, but I believe he would fail at that. I also believe Ohana Kava Bar will soon fail as well, especially with all of the new kava bars opening up in Colorado. People will go where they are appreciated.
