What a beautiful venue this is. It's the kind of place you would go to see a ballet while dressed to the nines. I had no idea it was even here and I've lived in Denver for twenty years. Classy, elegant and regal are words that come to mind. The staff and ushers were well dressed and high society polite. My wife and I watched "Potted Potter" which was a fun parody of the Harry Potter movies. It was really fun and worth every cent. We sat right in the front row and the view was amazing. It was an amazing night of entertainment and several hours well spent.

I really enjoyed ensemble performance from the Lamont school of music. This intimate setting had the perfect acoustics to enjoy a live performance. The performers were engaging and the music was phenomenal! I look forward to seeing another performance here.

Wonderful performance space with many interesting shows. This was Denver Brass's "Fiesta" show with Spanish & Mexican music with the Fiesta Colorado Dance Company. I saw Pasodoble dance and classic Spanish dance performed by Jeanette Trujillo Lucero. Several other pieces gave us rousing trumpets. And a fan favorite, Mambo No. 5.

One of the best venues in Denver, The Newman Center is tucked into the University of Denver's main campus, has plenty of nearby parking, and is an intimate setting for performances and shows. They had some technical issues at the onset of Acapellooza last month, but fixed them by the middle of the show. Some snacks and drinks available, however, eat a meal before you drive as they are merely snacks.

The Newman Center for the Performing Arts is on the University of Denver Campus and features many performances by and for college students. I was fortunate enough to see Bandaloop. A traveling dance troupe that has performances all over the world. Their act is pretty much outside the box, or should I say outside the building since they start from the roof and repel down the side of the building and dance on the outer wall. Very unique and different and something Ive never seen before. Plus their performance wasnt limited to one building, after about 30 mins the audience was directed to walk across campus to another building where the show continued. Truly a show to be seen if you get the chance.

I sometimes complain about the lack of cultural events in Denver (compared to other cities in which I've lived). The Newman Center claps back with a diverse lineup of music, dance, and more. I've seen a festival of Japanese organ music, world class dance, and great jazz, among others. The tickets are affordable too. I can see a MacArthur fellow perform for roughly half the cost of a DCPA show. It's become my favorite place to get my arts fix in Denver. Get on their mailing list, and give them a try.

The Newman Center is a fantastic place to catch a performing arts show. Attached to the DU campus, it's a beautiful theater. Whether it's a ballet or the Kodo Japanese drumming group, the shows offer a variety of options depending on your interests. There is not a bad seat in the house and ticket prices are totally reasonable. The parking garage can be a bit tricky to get out of in a reasonable amount of time but it's complimentary which makes it worth it.

Went to see the Potted Potter experience at the Newman Center. All of the ushers were fantastic. The seats we had initially bought got Upgraded!! So we were in even more fantastic seats than we thought!! The usher were fantastic about communicating this to all attendees, so there was no confusion. In regards to the showtime, the lights at the venue were lifted, at the time the show was supposed to start, however, it did not officially start for another 15 minutes-kind of a tease. I suppose opening night is when they work out he kinks . Additionally, the venue was gorgeous, the seats were comfortable, the temperature was a bit warm-which could have been all the people in the room, the lighting was magical! I would definitely return to this venue.

What a wonderful venue! I went to see sisters in law at the Byron theater within the Newman Center. It was my first time and I was thoroughly impressed. First class theater, plenty of safe, covered parking adjacent, definitely returning.
