This thrift store was very clean and orderly. The variety was excellent. We purchased several jars of canned goods. My personal favorite was the Chow Chow, a pickled cabbage relish. Great location also. Lots of good furniture and rows of home goods.

I liked this store. I am fairly certain it has moved into a much larger, newer building but I can't seem to find the address online for the new location. It is just down the road in Canon City, closer to the main road in a building that looks as though it was once a Western wear store or something along those lines. The old downtown location is now empty although the sign's still up, so perhaps the move is very recent.Anyway. It was highly organized and the staff was friendly on our visit. However, the clothing was weirdly priced. You could find a really nice sweater in great shape for $2.49 next to a ratty faded nightgown priced at $5.99. Some of the men's jeans and pants were more than ten bucks (and not name brands or new). I buy a lot of secondhand dresses but there was zilch to be found here...every dress was a grandma flavor prairie gown or a glitzy formal! The store's changing rooms were nice and clean. I bought a great Mossimo bag, super cute and clearly never used, for $2.97 which was my find of the day.The religious overtones in the store were way too heavy for us, especially the loud piped-in Christian music which lent an overly dramatic air to our thrift shopping jaunt. They have a huge selection of various sodas (including offbeat stuff like birch beer) and jarred goods that are clearly from a regional company but looked really intriguing (jalapeno eggs for example). To be clear, the foodstuff is all sold up front and this store's so clean & up to date, it has a chain store vibe.

I love shopping at the Canon City New Horizons! I take my Mom as often as possible, she enjoys getting out and finding fun things to organize her office papers and art. We moved here almost a year ago and almost all of our furniture were NH finds. Even beds! Mine is so comfortable. Bought a rustic entertainment cabinet and turned it into our baking station. Prices are GREAT and the staff are too. Thank you, NH! And round up everytime. You are helping their charity work as they are helping our budget needs.

I thought the store was very clean and organized. It must be hard to keep up with people constantly moving things around. Their prices are quite strange though. Kids toys are great prices. But there was some lights and stereos that were way over priced for what they were. And the jeans are too over priced also. The religious vibe is a bit much I can agree. Most of the ladies working there are nice and non judgemental. But there is one there that looks at my family and I like we're the devil and watches us like we're going to steal stuff or put a voodoo curse on her? It's strange and uncomfortable. My 9 year old daughter was trying on dresses and she kept staring every time she would come out of the dressing room. Not a nice stare either. I get it, we're unconventional looking with dyed hair and bright colors. I'm just trying to take my family to a fun thrift store without being followed and stared at like a criminal or satanist. But other than that lady, I'm pretty happy with the store. The one in Pueblo West is really big.
