I've adopted 2 dogs with NMDR, great experience both times.

I am a new volunteer to NMDR. It is exceptionally well-run and professional. There is a med clinic on site for serious intakes and different kennels for different size dogs. There is an extensive outside play place(s) for dog to run around and interact. Cleaner than ANY animal shelter I've ever been to. When a pup messes in the kennel, there is always someone walking around either mopping or scooping. Lovely and caring people. They have stringent requirements for placing pups...as they should! Fill out an app on their website. You don't need to wait for one to come by email. They even say that if you don't hear from someone within 2-3 days to email the contact (which they provide). I don't understand any bad reviews about this place. There are many ways to contact them, and every question has been answered timely by multiple members of this organization. Please check themout!!

Unless you live near Colorado Springs, you are up for a journey and you must bring all your current dogs with you. They are not flexible about this, even under covid19 times. In my opinion, this lack of flexibility, limits the dogs options. They could use video conferencing and local resources to do a home check but they won't consider that.

I got two of our dogs there last year two female dogs one morning was Cypress a Yorky she was 11 and the other one her name is Nora and she six toy poodle everyone there was so nice it was so clean and I would love to do volunteer work there and we will always get our dogs there thank you I love the dogs we got there to pieces

As a volunteer, I see firsthand the sacrifice, diligence, hard work and compassion for Earth's canines that have been challenged in this life since day one. Outstanding opportunities to give back and care for something other than yourself.

I can't believe these guys were in my local area and I had neve heard of them. They are an amazing organization with true passion for saving dogs from certain death and suffering. We adapted Roxie 10 months ago and she has been an amazing addition to our family. She was very traumatized from the time she spent in the puppy mill world and it has been a long hard road to get her to a happy place. But now she is and now she is giving back 10 fold. My wife and I have owned miniature dachshunds for a very long time and plan to continue to do so. We will however only get ours from National Mill Dog Rescue.

Thankful they have this organization in the community to adopt milll rescue dogs. Not a great once to volunteer.

My wife and I adopted a miniature poodle from NMDR on July 5, 2021 and we were very impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism of the facility. Glen was handling her rehab and he obviously cared very much about Poppy and we're she ended up. The process to adopt is thorough and extended, which is exactly what it should be when taking on a rescue pup. When we're ready for another dog we won't consider another place other than NMDR!

Since filing our review on May 8 we have spoke with a number of others who have encountered issues with these people & never reported their experience. If you had a bad experience plse do not ignore!!! we intend to register a complaint. Too bad we did not investigate ahead of time.
