Easily my favorite hike in Colorado Springs! Located in north Cheyenne canyon with a parking area. I prefer the traditional route, but you can also do daniels pass to the summit. It's about a 5 mile hike with elevation but it's a great moderate hike with stunning views of Pike's Peak's backside. This is a great hike to take visitors on as it's not too difficult but very rewarding and beautiful. A nice perk is that it's right here in town. Even my cat has done this hike a few times and she loves it!

Beautiful scenery and a few different trails to choose from. The entire area is great for hiking, not just Mt Muscoco. My friends and I had a great time. Dogs did well on the trail and I imagine kids would too (within reason). I wouldn't take a mountain bike up there because it can get pretty narrow in some areas with a lot of loose soil

Absolutely stunning! Peaceful and quiet! Be advised you need really good hiking shoes for traction and trekking poles especially as you near the top.

This was a very enjoyable hike. A little too busy on the weekend but went back again on a Monday afternoon and was a quite a bit quieter. I found this trail by searching for kid friendly hikes and I would say it is kid friendly if they are over 6. I have an active and mature-ish 5 year old and it was tough for her. Was pleasantly surprised by the view of Seven Falls!

We hiked Mt. Cutler after our drive up to Pikes Peak (http://www.yelp.com/biz/pikes-peak-colorado-springs-2#hrid:NJS1oWb7xq_HtEWPeI58qA) as a way to stretch our legs and give our dogger some exercise.+ Dog friendly+ Well marked path+ View of Seven Falls (if you have binoculars)Mt. Cutler was a great, easy hike if you're looking for a way to get some exercise without spending a ton of time.

This is a great little hike in Colorado Springs. It doesn't cost anything, unlike Seven Falls. I did Mt. Cutler in conjunction with Helen Hunt Falls. Both are very easy to do and offer gorgeous views. The trails are very wide and I went early in the morning and my son and I had both trails to ourselves. This would be great hikes to do with guest from out of state who are not accustomed to altitude or have difficulty with the higher elevations. We stopped in downtown CO Springs at Lucha for a little brunch after our hiking. Great day!

This is a nice short hike, with great views. It is a little steep, so if you're not used to the elevation you may find yourself huffing and puffing a little.I've done this with my dogs a few times - unfortunately some people aren't considerate in keeping their dogs leashed and picking up after their dogs. I always carry extra bags - so if you find yourself without them don't be afraid to ask other dog owners so you can clean up after your pooch! I also have my dogs wear hiking backpacks and if they poop they carry it down on their own so I don't have to.

Popular, family-friendly 2-mile roundtrip with 500 ft elevation gain. Very nice views the whole way with a small section that has a bit of exposure. I've been up here 3x. Not my favorite trail in town, but it's a good one if someone from out-of-town wants a short, uphill adventure.Unfortunately, its popularity and proximity to town means you will come across more inconsiderate behaviors than on other trails: piles of dog poop remain un-scooped along the way, and you get idiots clambering off-trail and pushing down significant quantities of rock and gravel, contributing to the erosion. The parking area is small and the visibility of the road can be a bit scary when you're trying to back out with traffic speeding by.
