Staff were helpful and you can order food while you're on the theater. Easy to find a parking lot. Good option for when you're on a date.

I maybe wrong, it's been a long time, but I think this used to be an AMC movie theater a very long time ago. It's been a long time since I've lived in Colorado & in this area of Aurora, but things do look a little familiar to me. I didn't know how to rate this place, I more so looked into it because the location looked so familiar. I don't know why this isn't an AMC theater anymore. It seems as if things I grew up with has the tendency to disappear. I even remember the Buckingham mall. My mom use to work at that mall when my sister & I were just little kids back in the 80s.For me, it tugs at my heartstrings that Buckingham Square Mall is gone, I feel the same tug that this isn't an AMC theater anymore, but at least it's still a theater....so I can't complain to much. I will say this though, it's heartbreaking that things, from when I was a little kid, keep on disappearing. Like I said at the beginning of this......at least it's still a movie theater. Please, all I ask is to keep it a movie theater....even if it happens to not an AMC one.

I wasn't able to get any good food picture because the theatre was dark when our food arrived. However, the popcorn was ok and the drinks were ok as well. I will say that our entire experience is different at the Movie Tavern post covid. We now have to wait in line to order food or order on the app (prior to when the movie starts). Movie Tavern doesn't have the push buttons anymore to request food. This is evident on the trays where it's obvious the buttons have been ripped out. The line to order food was extremely long, so we decided to use the app. We never received our popcorn or drinks so we had to ask an employee on the main level about our order. I've been about average impressed with going to this theatre post Covid. We order less food each time to be less disappointed.

I don't go to movies a lot anymore mainly because of price. A typical movie ticket now cost something like $20 not including the food or drink you get there. I wanted to see Twisters in the theater and looked at prices for a random Wednesday and it was expensive. But then a saw a banner on the site that mentioned $6 Tuesday so I created an account and got tickets for the following Tuesday. Such a great deal and they also have free popcorn. I will say concessions are still uber expensive. To order a soda it was over $7. Yikes! Otherwise, I will be back on Tuesdays for more shows.

It has been a year since we've visited the Movie Tavern. It is an unremarkable movie theater that has gotten a facelift over the last few years making it more appealing. We decided to go on their Tuesday special day where their tickets are $6 and Loyalty patrons get a free popcorn (that would normally cost $6+). This was a great treat. There is ample parking and the staff were courteous and helpful. We chose to just watch the movie and enjoy our free popcorn. The chairs elevate and offer a comfortable movie experience. The Tuesday deal allowed 6 of us to enjoy a recently released movie without breaking the bank. I'll definitely come back again... and sooner than a year just to get a break from hectic work schedules.

Been going here since 2005. I've had my ups and downs with this location (such as, the period the theaters didn't have AC, or the time the Icee only came with a thin soda straw, or the COVID/post COVID and no servers era). But after all these years, it's still the most budget friendly movie theater in town. Being a rewards member also has its benefits. And best of all, love the refills on the popcorn tubs that you can purchase at the beginning of the year. You can unlimited refill it for $5 every visit.

I have been in denial for way to long. This used to be our favorite theater for at least a decade and a half but it is seriously struggling. And the people who are trying their best to do their jobs, god bless them.Definitely, the pandemic did not help matters. Gradually it seems that money is not being spent to maintain basic necessities. Such as soap that goes into the wall dispensers. Nope it is just refilled bottles of Kroger plastic soap dispensers. Which sounds nitpicking, but it has been like this for the past two months. It means the GM or someone is trying to make things work on a very shoestring budget. A tavern that has a very limited selection of alcohol. Definitely pre-pandemic it was visually impressive seeing a fully stocked display of bottles. Husband and I used to do the Saturday brunch in which the food used to be delish, hot, ordered and served at your seat, AND one could get a mimosa or a Bloody Mary. At my last two visits, they did not have either the champagne/Prosecco or orange juice. I was told someone has to go over to Safeway to get more orange juice.Anyway, it is HEARTBREAKING to see their journey go downhill. I will seek other places that might fill my expectations but again, breaks one heart. This place used to be thriving! Now it feels like it is barely surviving and I do not blame the everyday workers. I think they are trying their bests with the limited options they are given.

Way over priced. Ordered a large soda, didn't realize they charged me 50¢ less for the regular and now I can't get a refill. Want me to pay another 8$ for a large. Seats are uncomfortable and the staff look like they hate their jobs. Recommend going to an AMC instead.

I was very disappointed in this theater. They didn't even have popcorn !! It wasn't like they had to make more. They didn't have it at all!!!What kind of movie theater doesn't have popcorn! Huge line right when you walk in with one poor guy taking everybody's orders. Then you go back to your seat and they're all worn out chairs!! All the trays have a big hole where they ripped the button out and just left it.
