Mount Princeton Hot Spring Resort Cabin.
Saint Elmo. It really is a Ghost town! Honestly looked like the rapture ... deserted cars and snow mobiles ...
The views from the upper pools are spectacular!
Winter wonderland.

This is my first time at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort. The front desk ladies were welcoming and friendly. We stayed in a renovated room by the creek. Everything was nice and clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Also, the rooms were quiet! We first went to the pool area. Unfortunately, I could only stay inside for 5-10 minutes because the chlorine smell was powerful, and my skin started to get red and itchy. The hot springs offer a relaxing atmosphere with unbeatable views of the mountains, and at night, if the sky is clear, you can enjoy the heavens being scattered with stars! Amazing views.!The resort perfectly balances family-friendly and adult-only areas, so you can enjoy peaceful, private time if that's what you're looking for! Also, you must purchase a spa package in order to go across; you are limited to one hot pool, and the two others are tepid bathwater temp. The Spa area was not what I expected. It was nothing fancy and did not have that feeling of fresh Spa smells. They sell hand-crafted smoothies and drinks right by the pools--delicious and refreshing! Very Expensive, though, for a smoothie. You can also rent a towel for $10--don't throw your receipts away if you want a refund. The locker rooms are overcrowded, dirty changing rooms, smells like puke, the lockers are old and locks don't work. Wear your sandals at all times to avoid getting fungus on your feet. The hot springs by the river/creek are nice and warm, but getting down to them can be fatalistic. If you take one wrong step, you can fall and hurt yourself. I saw five people fall. Some rocks are very Slippery. Also, there's no privacy or romantic feeling. Strangers can join your little pool anytime and sit next to you by inches. I really dislike paying so much to find out a few amenities are not available for use, like the sauna and steamer, which are out of order. (It's like going to Disney and having the mountain ride and others closed.) This resort lacks customer service, friendly staff, and a good restaurant.

The hotsprings were wonderful! The girl working the Princeton market was the epitome of hospitality, as well as everyone at the front desksJohn, one of the fitness instructors gave great advice on activities and a fun and good workout. Breakfast at the steakhouse was yummy and the service was impeccable The view from our Creekside room, stunning and made even better by the sounds of the running river, better than my "sleep sounds"It felt a little pricy for what you get compared to other hoping I've been, hence the four stars, and we went in the winter during slow season, I would hate to see how busy and full they got during the busy season. All in all a fantastic experience and I would recommend to anyone

This was a decent Hot Springs experience. It's not as great as other places I've been to, but if you're in the area it's an option for sure. It sucks that you can't put your things in a locker, you have to pay and the machine was glitchy. My family and I ended up leaving our stuff in a bag in a corner and just hoping it was OK while we were soaking. The locker rooms are small so we mostly just felt bad for taking up that floor space. You also can't park very close to the Hot Springs, you will have to walk from your car. When it's cold outside, you're obviously wearing a lot of layers from the car and then needing a place to store them. If it's a bit warmer, I would recommend leaving as much as you can in your car. This is mainly just one big swimming pool. There is an additional pool for overnight guests, but I'm not 100% sure. There is also a more natural portion down in the river, but you have to climb to it. My parents weren't able to do that climb so me and my sister went in. It gets slippery and she hurt her foot getting out. I'm not sure all that work was worth it, especially considering what we paid! It was also extremely busy which felt like a big contributor to why the customer service lacked.

Amazing, clean hot springs with multiple pool options. Regular pass things to know: Bring your own towel and sunscreen as they charge for these items. Bring your flip flops and a robe, and sunglasses for comfort. For 20$ more, you can go to the resort side. There is another pool, age 16+, a bar (no outside alcohol but you can bring in food), a steamroom and sauna. Plus you get a towel. If you get the resort pass, you can still access the river, which is very cool, but you have to climb down a wall to get to it and the pools can be v cozy wi

If you're ever in the Buena Vista area, the Mount Princeton hot springs are a must. No matter the time of year, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind for a bit. If you prefer more of a traditional pool set up, they have that near the main entrance, but our family loves enjoying the pools in the river! With the hot springs bubbling in each of the pools and the coldness of the river, you can temper each pool to the temperature of your liking by moving some of the rocks. We highly encourage bringing water shoes with you if you plan on jumping in the river. So be sure to check out all the resort has to offer next time you're in town!

We went on a snowy mid week day and it was gorgeous. Just a day trip but we spent hours soaking in the pools and river. So special with the snow.

Granted, I haven't been back since the pandemic, but this was a great spot, especially a great alternative to the prevalent Glenwood Springs resort, in that it was smaller, more personal and personable, as well as more chance to be in nature. The accommodations were great. We came during the holidays one year and although the resort is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by snow, it did not feel sad at all, as it was so festive on site. Food was good, soaking was better, and the stay was excellent.Again, my experience was before Colorado had an influx of people that ultimately made everything more crowded. I understand that's the price to pay for diversity. May Mount Princeton stay original and true to itself...

We rented a room for Saturday night which gave us access to all of the pools for the day of checkin and the next day after checkout. We stayed in the spa area which is 16+ and lockers and towels were included. They had a snack bar with decent options for smoothies, snacks, drinks, and sandwiches. The big pool at the spa was a good temperature for hanging out and not crowded. The three smaller tubs were all much hotter but fun to dip in and out of. There was a cold pool that my friends tried while I continued enjoying the warm water. The staff were all kind and helpful and we had a great weekend. The family area was too crowded for my taste but my friends enjoyed the creek side pools which had a natural sand bottom. I'd definitely come again but only if staying onsite or if I paid for the spa area access.

This review, and the 1-star rating, is for the spa and massage services. My boyfriend treated me to a massage and facial combo for my birthday over the weekend, spending over $300 + tip. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. The massage therapist was elderly and seemed to lack the necessary hand strength and technical skill to justify the $150 price tag for the massage. As someone who has had massages all over the world, I would rank this experience in the bottom 10% yet it was priced in the top 10%. The ambiance also failed to create a relaxing environment. There was no music to set the mood, and a loud heater kept switching on and off, disrupting the experience. If you are going to charge premium prices for a spa and massage experience, the quality of the service and overall environment should reflect that. Sadly, this was not the case here.

Facilities and staff were excellent. Note: They graciously moved us to a different lodging unit when we asked to be closer to the soaking pools. Also, our dining experience in their on-site restaurant was delicious.
