This park is built around a natural spring that gets its name from. This is one of three parks in the immediate area and there is metered street parking and a commercial lot available to park within a reasonable walking distance. The park has a bunch of public art scattered amongst its grounds and you will find a few benches along the walkway that leads to a fancy gazebo. Behind the pavilion you will find a small plaza area with brick bleacher style seating in the shape of a U. They call it an amphitheater, so I guess it qualifies, but is a bit small though. The highlight of this park and probably the primary reason that it was made, is the spring. It produces a constant flow of non-chlorinated, natural water that you can bottle and drink. It is in a nice container and you will find some informational placards near it that explains early Manitou adventures and mineral spring origination. The park is nice and well maintained, but I do not see spending much time here outside of collecting water or sitting on one of the park's benches to take a load off briefly. I was not here long and I assume that is the case for many people. Still a nice place to visit and there is a park next to it and one across the street that you can visit as well, to make your trip more worthwhile. Also, the Castle and downtown tourist area is right around the corner.
