Store Front
One of smaller and nicer casinos on the block.
Ice sculptures illuminated at night during the Cripple Creek ice festival.
Ice sculpture out front during the Ice Festival.
Lovely ice sculpture.

The experience I had may differ from others, but the overall feel of this place was not the exciting fun atmosphere you'd hope for in a gambling place. People didn't seem joyful and I couldn't see people winning. The folks I sat by all had a similar story of losing without the machines doing any give and take. We all realize coming to these places, the casino has the edge and if playing long enough you'll likely lose your money. It just shouldn't be so fast or the fun and entertainment is taken out of the experience. Maybe machines were just a little tighter because it was a Friday evening, or maybe a bunch of people won prior to us sitting and the machines were getting theirs back. Either way, I had more fun at several other places next to this one. I'd most likely return, it just won't be my first stop.

This review is for the casino. I had a coupon for $10 free in slot play from the Brass Ass and didn't realize that I had crossed over to the Midnight Rose when I ended up winning $100 off my $10 free credit. I found a machine in the back, felt a connection, sat down, and won. It was exhilarating.

Nice casino located inside a historical building in the heart of Cripple Creek. One of our favorite places to visit. The restaurant located inside the Midnight Rose is amazing! Lots of great food selections on their menu.

This review is for the Down Under - fantastic meal. We have had plenty of prime rib and crab leg buffets in the Creek but our meal Saturday evening was #1 on our list. The prime rib was a melt in your mouth experience. The mahi mahi and smoked salmon were wonderful as well. The crab legs were not watery tasting or "old".As many times we have been up there we must have thought it was the same as it were before we moved to MD and came back.We will be back.

It was ok. Free parking in their garage. Not many cocktail waitresses or waiters, so you probably will have to play slot poker at the bar if you want to order a drink. I only saw a couple noteworthy wins and both seemed to have been max betting.

One of the more pleasant casinos in Cripple Creek. You know what you're getting here- it isn't Vegas, or even Atlantic City. The majority of the casinos in this teensy mining town are kind of depressing in comparison to the gambling meccas you might be accustomed to. Think run-down, sticky floors and out-of-order signs on every few machines in each section.Midnight Rose seems to be one of the nicer casinos compared to others that we've visited here. We had a good time, the floor areas were cleaner and devoid of food scraps and garbage that we encountered in many of the others we'd stopped into- and there appeared to be adequate staff in each section. The outdoor area in front also provided a nice view of the illuminated sculptures created during the Ice Festival.

We stayed overnight in the hotel on a Monday night. Check in was quick and easy, staff were friendly. Our room was very clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable and I had no issues falling asleep. Water pressure in the shower was good. TV also has tons of channels, including premium channels. We requested a room with a window, by the elevators, and equipped with a refrigerator and they were able to grant all of those requests. I deducted a star only because we got a little lost finding our room when leaving the casino and the hallways are very narrow.

The poker room has been totally destroyed. The players worked up a bad beat pot before Covid, and now they are playing them off on whatever Fridays they want to without even telling the players. And now they changed the blinds to cost more to play so they can get the rake. Don't waste your time if you're interested in poker, just go to Blackhawk. As far as the casino, it's OK. Foods good, hotel rooms OK, but the atmosphere isn't the greatest.
