We always come to this place and wouldn't give it a 1 star but when closing is 11 and you come in at 10:56 and they tell you no we are closed we can't sell anything because we counted the drawer, then the 2 workers show up at purple toad was just a little disappointing.

Happy to give a five star here! Not just that they are local, it is nice to be in a Liquor Store that actually has nice, helpful people staffing it. Was kind of a shock of sorts I guess. I am so used to Liquor Stores being so "transactional" and like a warehouse. Nice feel! Will switch all of my business to them for now.

This little liquor store just moved into my neighborhood and it is great!! Excellent selection of wine, which is rare out here. Fairly priced I thought. The staff was really helpful, too. If you live out here, make the effort to come up to Meridian Ranch for your spirits. Their selection beats the other two options hands down.

If you are going to be open on Easter during a Pandemic, don't complain to your paying customers that they shouldn't be coming in, complain to your management instead, they are trying to support you. Unprofessional.

Bought a 15 pack of Coors Light last night, took it home and found out that it was skunky, returned to the store for exchange and they wouldn't do it due to their no return policy, I've been going to this store since they opened and can't believe that they would lose a regular customer over a $20.00 pack of beer. Oh well

We used to frequent here quite a bit because it's close. But after today, I will never give another penny to this store. We were in there looking at wine and my 3 year old son says "Daddy I need to go potty". So we walk up to the register to ask where the restroom is. And we get a response, "Yes we have a restroom but it's for employees only." I respond, "Even my 3 year old here?". And he's doing the peepee dance and saying "I need to go potty". Her last response was, "It's company policy." So we went outside and he peed outside the store. It may be company policy, but you should have a little compassion for people who have a restroom emergency. I will never come back to this store.

This is in response to Brian M. and his review of Meridian Ranch Liquor below. He asked a brand new employee if we had a public restroom. She politely told him no. He then asked her to make an exception for his 3 year old son and she said no. She is new and didn't know that we DO make exceptions on bathroom policy for young children. We've all been the new person at a job. You don't learn everything all at once. Luckily, I witnessed the incident go down. I quickly and politely explained to Brian M that she was new and didn't know we made exceptions for young children. I then told him I'm sorry about that and I'd be happy to go unlock the bathroom door so his son could use the bathroom. He responded with "No. she said no". I then politely repeated that she was new and just didn't know and that I'd open the bathroom for his son. Again he refused to take his son to the bathroom while his son was indeed doing the "pee pee dance". I was dumbfounded. All he had to do was follow me to the bathroom but instead he refused. So I walk back to the register and explain what happened to our new employee. I said "He's punishing his child to make some kind of angry point". I didn't know his wife was still in line and she heard what I said. She responded, "He's not punishing him. We're just going to have him pee on the car". I'm not making this up. So after a new employee made an honest mistake that was quickly and politely rectified by me, and after I offered the use of the bathroom twice, these two parents thought the reasonable thing to do was make their 3 year old piss on a car. I've never seen two adults act so childish. After they left both customers that were behind them in line were shocked. They both commented on how they couldn't believe what they just saw. When Brian M omitted the full story he is being deceitful. In other words he is lying. Since he seems to have a problem with honesty, he will most likely dispute this response. Fortunately we have a very high tech camera/audio surveillance system in our store. It records everything 24/7. I have the whole incident on camera and it shows it from the beginning to end at several different angles. It shows Brian M acting more immature than his 3 year old. It also plainly shows that he's lying about how the whole thing went down. His review is everything that's wrong with Yelp in a nutshell. You provide a platform for petty, dishonest people like Brian M to spread lies that affect people's livelihood, in return affecting families. You also let these people do it with impunity. And if you delete my response you will be proving my point. I took a screen shot of my response and I have the video of the incident. I'm very willing to make them both go viral unless Brian M apologizes publicly on Yelp and admits he is being dishonest through omission. The camera doesn't lie. Yelpers often do, though.
