This is a nice little YMCA-run neighborhood recreation center. It has a nice outdoor pool and should have an indoor pool by late 2015. Like many a YMCA, they offer an array of fitness classes for all ages.My favorite part of their offerings is the Parents night out. They hold them once or twice a month and it is only $25 for 2 kids for 4.5 hours. Great hours, adequate gym and tons of programs for the kids.

Im tired of coming here on my days off to play vasketball and you guys have sports taking up both sides of your only basketball court. Its not like there's a schedule either saying what days the kids will be taking up your courts. You guys have your members come in, check in, walk down to the courts, figure out that we cant play on the courts because sports will kick you off, walk all the way back out of the building and go home. Its very rude. Especially when the person at the front desk tells me where the basketballs are and watches me grab one, and decides not to tell me that their courts are fully occupied.

We live in Meridian Ranch and enjoy being away from the city. The Rec Center (YMCA) is a big part of our week. Sometimes they are organized sometimes they are not, but over all we enjoy all they offer. The child watch staff is amazing! I get to chat with the ladies at the front desk before my workout and they gym has all this community needs. They have a wide range of classes and do their best to put programs together for adults, teens and kids. I recommend you check it out.

I read through everything on their website to see if non-residents could come and swim. It said nothing on their website about only being restricted to residents. So we drove about 30 minutes to get here and found out it's residents only. If you do not allow no-residents you should explicitly say so on your website. And your front desk staff were extremely rude.

I adore this Rec Center! Every time I come in, I am greeted with a warm smile. I took my daughter to one of the mini-camps that they offer, and she came home all smiles and had a ton of stories of their adventures to tell. And because they have the YMCA to back them up, they are able to put on so many more programs that I would normally have to go into town for, and at a very reasonable price. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for all y'all do for our little community. It is definitely better here with you in it!

This gym has the wackiest hours. The basketball courts are always closed. They'll give you the "hours" but something new always comes up. Weak staff, also ridiculous pool hours. Machines are always out of order. Occasionally you'll get a good experience but not as often as most would like. Bathroom downstairs is unkept, and very musty and a great environment for bacteria to flourish. Weights are always put it the wrong locations 10's in the 25's and so on. This place is a let down good for basic stuff sometimes but I wouldn't expect much.

Went today June 21st to use the outdoor pool. Was told it is closed till12:00pm. Why was the pool not open at 10 like it says it should be. There are so many rules and times to attend the indoor or outdoor pool it's just crazy. It's summer time. Shouldn't we be enjoying OUR pools.

Not a "real YMCA" as I was told when I asked why they keep such stupid hours, why the child watch hours are limited, and why the class options are so very limited. This is an affiliate YMCA, so you do not get the benefits of a true YMCA, but you are FORCED to pay for this little center and it's terrible management. You also have to pay additional money for classes and child watch. We did a "try before you buy" in this neighborhood (we rented for two years) and honestly, if I could take the $58 a month and apply it to a REAL YMCA or other fitness facility I'd be much happier. This Rec Center keeps the worst hours (closes at 12:00-3:30 during the school year and as the other reviewer noted, the pool even keeps stupid hours). If the rec center is a tipping point to live in Meridian Ranch or not...think about how you will really use it. We won't be buying a home in this development. I'll be taking my $60 and joining a REAL gym.
