We had dinner here while spending the weekend in Cripple Creek. We are sure glad we did. We were just walking down the Main Street and this place stood out a little plus we adore Irish type food. Before we get to the food, I want to say the service here was impeccable. It was fast and friendly and downright small town social. The restaurant is right in front of the building and right behind it was the casino floor. In started with in Irish coffee that was simply perfect. A great tasting coffee with a nice and warm shot of Jameson whiskey. My wife had the tuna plate that she loved and I had the Reuben which was also fantastic. We shared a chocolate cake for dessert that made us both full and sleepy. This is a great place for a meal of you find yourself try of about ten thousand feet in the city of Cripple Creek. We loved it. They were very welcoming of our same sex my marriage and treated us very well. A safe LGBT place.

There is a line at the cashier of 10 people deep and one cashier while two managers and security guard talk about nothing related to business. The one cashier was abrupt and assumed I knew what I needed to do with my bus ticket. When this was my first time using the bus. When I talked to the manager she could care less about the line and the service received. Nothing changed and when I came back as they were laughing and still talking and the line was long. No wonder the casino is so empty with this level of service.

Reserved a suite for my wife and myself for our anniversary. Welcomed by the staff member for the temp check with such a great attitude. Checked in quickly and went to our room. Was very clean and smelt pleasant. It did get a bit noisy with the air conditioning, but the novelty of staying in a historic building outweighed it. My wife's favorite part was the fireplace visible from the spa tub.

We stayed four nights in the hotel. The staff is wonderful. The rooms were clean and cute. I like the elevator strait to the casino floor but you don't have to walk through the casino to check in or get to your room.

My husband and I are not ones to complain but when we walked up to be seated at Pint & Platter, we were totally ignored by the wait staff and hostess,so we asked to speak to the floor manager. His name is Larry, and he was fantastic! He got us seated right away and comped our meal! Thank you, Larry, for your amazing customer service! The food was really good too, and we also had an amazing server but can't remember her name (sorry about that!) We gave her a really good tip because she was professional and very friendly. We would definitely eat there again if we find ourselves back in Cripple Creek.

NEVER! EVER! EVER! Give this place your business. We had a party of 9 coming in. We are from Texas and wanted to try some good food. So we walked Main Street and saw a menu that looked pretty good, so we all agreed to try it. We waked in and they told us, since we have 9 people we wouldn't be able to sit in the same area because two big parties were ahead of us, we said no problem and decided who was going to sot with who. As soon as we agreed, the hostess then changed her attitude and said, "we won't be able to sit you together." Ummmm... okay that's fine! She then proceeded to say, "well we only have one waitress here so if it takes too long, don't be upset. There's a place right down the walk called, Dynamite Dicks, and they can seat you RIGHT AWAY!" So, I finally caught the drift, that we weren't welcome in there. Let me remind you, we are from Texas, so we might not as been as not colored as they wanted us to be. Well at least that's the way they treated us. I proceeded to ask, "So, are we not welcome here?" She says, "you have a big party and we have one waitress. " so I told her " so the other parties ahead of us are welcome, but we aren't." She then says, "dynamite dicks......" I didn't even let her finish her sentence before we walked out feeling so disrespected I couldn't believe what just happened to us. We were even planning on gambling there, but I am glad they didn't get a single cent from us! Oh... BTW... we went to dynamite dicks and the food was AMAZING! The casino is good too, we walked out with a little more than what we walked in with, so it was a win-win for us!!! GO DYNAMITE DICKS and the Brass Donkey Casino!

It's December. It's cold outside. Wasn't accepted by the hotel next door (Century something) and the service there sucked any way. My nephew was with us and isn't 21 yet. So thankfully, the nice folks at JP McGillis was able to get us a room. No fuss. Friendly service. Even provided us with some food vouchers for next door. Service is everything, and they provided EXCELLENT service. Thank you, BONNIE :)

So I finally get a weekend with just me and the spousal unit. No kid, no chores, just a weekend for fun. we made reservations at The Hotel St. Nicholas which I will get to in another review. In the meantime, I have to tell you how great this casino food was. No shit, casino food. They have a little place called Pints and Platters which serves Irish style fare. Lamb stew, Guiness on tap, you get the picture. I usually prefer to patronise small, family owned places, but in Criple Creek, that just isnt' in the cards. So we stop in for dinner on a Friday night. It's fairly busy and things are hopping. I have not received such good service in a very long time. Kaitlin our server, was the best. She was quick, effecient, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was really quite good as well. I had a Cobb salad and the wife had a burger. I know, I know, you went to an Irish pub and had a salad? Yes, I did. I have serious problems with MSG and I have to be extremely careful of what I eat or I will be in the ER for 12 hours. The salad was very fresh, very well made and fantastic. My wifes burger was also really good. I topped it all off with a Guiness and the evening was complete. Saturday, we went there for lunch. Again it was excellent, from the great service to the great food. Then we went back for breakfast Sunday morning before we left for home. Bangers and scrambled eggs with beans. All in all, I could not have been happier. Finally I get to tell you all of good food and service. I HIGHLY recommend it.

This is about the hotel. $59.99!rooms overpriced by twice. What. A. Dump. So much air freshener on the extremely worn carpet in the halls that it was proofing as I walked. Welcome to allergic reaction city. And who the hell has smoking rooms anymore? Reeks. Room is the size of a postage stamp with a view of the parking garage which also has a view of the room.I stayed here because I have business here and it was the last room in the town, apparently. I can see why
