Mateos Salon & Day Spa

We LOVE this expansive, beautiful and professional spa and have been going for years! There are so many options for self-care, hair styling, facials, injectables, anti-aging treatments plus a gift shop area filled with gorgeous things. Highly recommended!

Disappointed despite good reviews. Felt like I was entering a souvenir shop at an amusement park. Not a single staff member introduced themselves. Felt I should know how things worked even tho I had never been there. Told to go get robed. Layout was odd. No one called me by my correct name even tho I introduced myself. Felt minimal effort by staff. Will not return or recommend. No shortage of customers so my comments will not impact.

Recently moved here and glad I found this place to be able to relax and do self care . Crystal did my nails . She listened to what I wanted and made sure I was happy. She is a sweetheart ! Highly recommend her . Happy I finally found my manicurist.

I was gifted a spa day for my birthday. Having had a massage earlier in the year at a different place I wasn't expecting much. But this place was incredible. The facial and 30 min massage was such an incredible experience. So relaxing and I felt much better after. I subtract 1 star for the mani pedi. The lady was very friendly and nice. The mani pedi looked nice in the dim lighting but outside the polish job was uneven and they gel manicure peeled off not even a week later on my hands. Previous place last 2-3 weeks and generally it's nail growth not peeling or breaking. Even my toe polish is chipping and that normally stays strong for weeks. I'll definitely come back for spa services but I won't do the nail solan again.

After almost 20 years of services at Mateo's and Skin Savvy, I am still so very happy and grateful to have such an amazing group of people who really care about my concerns and always provide the best service possible! I wouldn't go anywhere else! Love love love this team!!!

I am a long time customer of Mateo's Day Spa. Chelsea Steichen has been my hairdresser for over a decade, and her skills and professionalism are unmatched.From day 1, she has listened to every concern I have, and helped me understand which looks that I visualize will work for me and my lifestyle, and which won't. When my grey hair started coming in in an unusual fashion, she helped me find a style that compliments it, instead of just camouflaging.She treats you like so much more than a customer, and truly shows her passion for what she does. In fact, she also keeps my husband & daughter's unruly locks in line!If you want to spend your salon time in a clean, but warm & inviting facility with a great tea selection and a beautiful gift store, comfy waiting area and really friendly staff, then come to Mateo's. If you want your hairdresser to really care about your day-to-day happiness with your hair, treat you kindly, warmly & professionally then ask for Chelsea Steichen. We are middle-aged adults with a 10 year old and she keeps all of us in healthy hair!I also get my facial waxing done here, and I need to give some love to Jaime. From caring about my skin type/s, hydration, wax preference, skin sensitivity to just simply being so kind, and fun to spend an unpleasant activity with. I go weeks without seeing her, and she remembers me, my life, my daughter, etc. She makes me feel like I'm visiting a friend, and not just getting hot wax ripped off my eyebrows.I highly recommend the facility, the staff, the service and Chelsea and Jaime. It's one of my favourite places to visit.

Place is huge and amazing they have everything. Laser, massages, beauty shop, manicures, pedicures and a gift shop. I got a manicure with a nail technician, Jeanne who has a great personality and she did a great job. Will go back to get another manicure with her when my nails get too long. Really do not paying a little more for the relaxing atmosphere that Mateos has. They even had a waiting room with drinks where my husband could wait for me.

Mateo's is a wonderful spa with myriad services, a great boutique, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Lisa at the front desk is just the person you want to greet you and help you out. She is such an asset to Mateo's and puts you at ease from the minute you walk through the door. Your comfort and ease are their top priority, and I would highly recommend!

Absolutely, hands down the best Day Spa in Colorado Springs. I love their friendly staff. They are so welcoming. The environment and atmosphere is simply tranquil and warm. They do couple massages which makes great anniversary gifts. They are very professional and upscale. Veteran owned Mateos Salon & Day Spa offers professional massage, pedicures, manicures, hair salon services, facials, the works. There's an awesome boutique on the premises with some of the most unique gifts. This is the perfect prescription for reducing stress. We all should pamper yourselves. I know that I deserve it, how about you?

This is very painful but I've been taught that "sharing is caring". I've been seeing my girl Danielle Wojo, for my hair, a couple years now and she has NEVER done me wrong. My color is always on point and I feel refreshed every time I leave. She has been amazing at interpreting my wants ("give me a spring time red, but not SPRINGTIME red...you know" ) and checks in often just to make sure I am happy with my look, which I always am. She is amazing and I always look forward to my next appointment. I highly recommend her but just don't take my appointment spots, I NEED my Danielle time P.S. for the lucky curly headed ladies, my daughter sees Danielle as well and I can't get the smile off her face after we leave. She has really helped my teen daughter embrace her beautiful curls.
