I'm typically not the type of person to complain but I was very unsatisfied with my appointment. I had bleached my hair before hand and came in to get a haircut, treatment and a color correction to get rid of the yellow/orange tones in my hair. I figured paying good money for my hair to be done I wouldve love what I got. Instead, my hair was toned too dark. I ended up leaving with dark brown hair. My blonde hair was no longer visible. Roots almost black. I used to be blonde in the past as well for years and they have always used a purple or blue toner. Which made my hair a more ash blonde. I was so upset I had to pay to go somewhere else to fix the issues. The explaination I got from saying they had to tone my hair dark was was irrational. That was clearly not what i asked for or clarified clearly to me. I was in complete shock. The treatment was good and the haircut was fast. But because of the extra damage of getting my hair back to blonde again before a big event of mine I will never go back to this place.

Well, buckle your seatbelts ladies and gents because I'm about to take you on wild ride of the worst hair-trauma experience of my life. This will be an honest recount of what was done to my hair and how the situation was handled by the owner- Brandy Conrad. Let me start by saying I'm a blonde specialist of 15yrs and was looking for a local stylist to do my hair as I wanted to take the plunge myself and go blonde. I was also looking to find someone who does quality blonding work as I currently have too many clients and would love to have a backup stylist to send my ladies to when I can't fit them in. I went in with level 5 brunette hair that was 100% virgin (I had been growing it out for 2 years with only previously lightened ends which I was about to cut off). I prepped for a year by doing 1-2X deep conditioning treatments per week and using quality, professional products and minimizing heat. My goal was to cut my mid-back length hair to my shoulders for a cute, platinum bob. I do weekly brown-to-blonde transformations and let me tell you, it doesn't get better than the hair I started with. It was in perfect condition. Brandy and her assistant Christine did my foiling. Once my full head was foiled, she started doing the hair that had been weaved out/the "drop-outs". This is where it gets DICEY. She just took sections of the left-out hair and started painting the bleach on horizontally. As I watched this is the mirror, I thought, "That's not going to be blended. She should be teasing these sections." But I didn't say anything. I'm open to the idea that each stylist has their own creative way of doing their craft, and I wanted to leave room for that. Well, I wish I would have said something because I ended up having LINES all over my head. Wherever she had taken a drop-out, I had a line. I found this out once I got home because the lighting in the salon was super wanky (it was dark outside by the end of the appt. and the light above Brandy's station was out!). Once I got home and could see what had happened, I knew I needed a full color correction and for the first time in my life, I cried over my hair. It was SO bad you guys. I'm leaving out a lot of details because there isn't room to type it all out, but my roots were also messed up, as well as uneven lifting throughout the back and crown area of my head (in addition to the lines of demarcation everywhere). I messaged her on Instagram telling her what happened to my hair and sent a bunch of pictures. I asked for my money back (minus the cost of the cut), explaining how I'll need to to take off another day off work and a full color correction is going to take hundreds$$$. I also mentioned how I was disappointed that she didn't mention any of this while I was in her chair. Every stylist makes mistakes. That's actually largely how we learn and grow in our expertise. That's probably true in most lines of work. However, I think it's the responsibility of the stylist to point out their mistakes (not put that on the client to address) and be willing to fix it. That shows integrity and care. At the end of the day, shouldn't we treat people how we want to be treated? Would you want someone to leave YOUR hair with a mistake? No way! So don't do that to others just because it isn't your hair. Well, that's not what Brandy thinks because she came back swinging and blame-shifted everything onto me. Didn't offer to correct anything and wouldn't give me any money back. If that wasn't enough, she put me, my stylist history, and my business down right before she straight up BLOCKED me.Um, what? Y'all, talk about defensiveness and being unnecessarily unkind. Not to mention unprofessional.I don't wish to throw anyone under the bus, especially a fellow stylist, but I wish I would have known what I know now and so I'm sharing my experience. We all deserve to be pampered now and then and hair is such a big part of our self-confidence. I hope this will never be your experience. Beware of this salon and good luck out there, ladies!

I recently moved to Colorado in January, and was unbelievably nervous about finding a new hair colorist. I don't remember how I came across Reba, but I have followed her from one salon to the next, as I will NEVER let someone else in CO touch my hair! She is so good at what she does, she explains what she's doing prior, during and after the session, and she answers all of my silly questions with a smile. I adore her and her work! Ashley Ayers is wonderful as well. I've only seen her once, as I needed a style for professional photos, and Reba wasn't available. I would not hesitate to use her again, as she did such a good job!In regards to the salon overall, I can't say enough. I came to Lush because Reba switched salons, and I am SO glad she did. It's such a cute salon and everyone is extremely nice. It's very clean and tidy, and you're always greeted with a smile. The products they sell are wonderful! When my stylist isn't available for a quick blow-dry/style, I'm not nervous to ask for someone else. I don't know about you, but that's when you KNOW its a good salon!

I saw Lynnse at Lush Beauty Lounge and wish I hadn't. I went in for a color and cut and when she finished I noticed a spot in the front of my hair that needed to be fixed, she fixed it but I had to point it out to her although it was very obvious. As a hairstylist myself, we see everything when we're blow drying the hair, I'm guessing she was hoping I wouldn't see it. After I went home I was checking out the rest of my hair and noticed a ton of harsh foil lines that were not blended at all. I contacted Lynnse to let her know that I was not happy with my color and sent her the pictures I had taken, she offered to fix but I felt more comfortable fixing it myself. We agreed on a partial refund which I have yet to receive from her, so I've had to take this up with my bank. My recommendations for Lynnse are that she needs a bit more education on updated foiling techniques and don't lie to customers!

I made an appointment with a stylist I haven't seen before online. I have been here in the past and had a stylist who's no longer there. A couple of days before my appointment I became sick, so I called the salon to cancel my appointment that was coming up on Tuesday morning. It was Sunday, so they weren't there, and they were closed on Monday too. So, I left a message (I think it was an email) on the website letting them know 48 hours in advance that I was unable to make it to the appointment and that I'd like to reschedule. I heard nothing until Tuesday morning when I received an invoice for $240. in my email. I went back and forth a few times explaining that I canceled my appointment on their website to no avail. They asked me to provide a "copy" of that request. I was totally open to coming back to this salon that I've been to multiple times, until this back and forth of ridiculous behavior on their part! Now I'm content taking my business elsewhere! I don't deserve to be harassed! If you want to keep a customer all you have to do is acknowledge the effort made (which the appointment was canceled) to cancel, and reschedule another appointment. Boom! You have a repeat customer! Treat them poorly and they're not coming back! Too bad they behaved this way.

Sadly I never got a chance to even step into this salon. After contacting someone about an appointment, they didn't get back to me for a really long time. I have never had to wait almost a week and half for a response. Then when they did get back to me I ended having some personal problems arise. As I have a child with a bleeding disorder and had to take care of a bleed he had. They were so uncaring and rude and so very rude. It's hard enough for us moms to get out and try to do something for ourselves, but to be turned away because you can help your personal situation is just so unkind and I hope they treat their other normal clients better then they did me. Very disappointing. You don't know what someone might be going through. Be kind.

Recently had my hair done by Anna Smith at Lush and have nearly happy cried several times since from seeing my hair because I love it so much! Anna did an amazing job with my hair, listening to what I was looking for but also using her expertise and keen eye to do my hair in such a complementing way! Aside from being a great stylist, Anna is so sweet and down to earth (easy to spend multiple hours with)! She even went out of her way to get me in before I had to travel.I also really appreciate how much the stylists at Lush care about the actual health of your hair and clearly understand the chemistry of what they're doing to your hair.
