Louie's Ice Cream Shop

We were dining nearby, and my friend absolutely loves ice cream! Of course, we had to stop by this cute ice cream shop after dinner. I was happy to see they had plant-based options as I am about 95% plant-based at this point. The nearby burger joint has a couple plant-based options as well. The coconut cookies and cream ice cream was phenomenal, and of course, my friend raved about her dairy-based option as well. They have a nice seating area outside, but it was a bit wet from the rain. The downside to this place was the service. The kid was slow to acknowledge us, and he did not really seem to want to serve us at all. His personality was pretty dry. Maybe he was having a bad workday. We all have those days. I would not let the lackluster customer service deter you from tasting these delectable treats! It is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars however.

An ice cream oasis in Buena Vista! This was a treat of a stop in more ways than one. Great flavors, fantastic, ambience, and plenty of outdoor seating.

Been visiting Louie's for years, but last few visits the scoops are incredibly small for the price and half the staff gives attitude. No samples, so you are gambling on liking what you get in that expensive tiny scoop.Ambiance is great, play area and outdoor seating is a great spot to post up. Go get your cream elsewhere and enjoy the play area separately.

Although we didn't get any icecream from here after a tummy full of food, I still love coming back to this place because of its positive vibe. Very cute ice cream venue. I did get a chance to swing and surround myself in beautiful sunflowers and my beau climbed high. lol We were little kids at the playground again. Lol I also made my beau and I write something on the chalk board. This is a great place to stop by for delicious ice cream, positive vibes, and to be a kid again.

Just moved to town a few months ago and absolutely LOVE this place! So many flavors to choose from, the staff is amazing and the vibe there is so perfect. Would definitely recommend this place!

Delicious and delightful! Not only does Louie's offer great ice cream, but there is also a cool backyard play area for kids, which features a rope net for climbing, little cars for kids to ride in, and more. There are also nice seats in this outdoor area for the bigger kids and adults to sit in and enjoy their ice cream or watch their kids play.As for the ice cream itself, I got two scoops: samoan cookie and creamy praline. Like the Girl Scout samoa cookies, this ice cream was a delicious mix of coconut and chocolate. The creamy praline was also a tasty nutty flavor. I believe these two scoops were around $7 total, so not too bad. The one downside is they don't offer samples, but with ice cream this good, it might not be necessary anyways.The shop itself is small and cute. In addition, the two ladies behind the counter were friendly and helpful.Overall, whether you're looking for some ice cream on a hot day or just trying to entertain your kids, Louie's would be a great choice for you.

Have gone twice and we all really enjoyed it. Friendly staff. Good portion sizes. Fun flavors. Great location.

Flavors weren't anything great. I could taste the ice crystals which means they don't have ice cream at right temp or have door to storage open too much. Service was good, clean, eco-conscience atmosphere++

This is a really fun place to get ice cream and hang out. There's a massive chalk wall where people can write their aspirations in life or otherwise scratch the itch to legally vandalize. The ice cream itself is delicious and they have tons of creative flavors. They used to have punch cards for free ice cream, but I'm not sure if that's still a thing. They also have games like corn hole, chess, checkers, etc. There's ample seating and it's in an ideal location for a post-meal sweet treat. The line may be long, but the people who serve you are prompt and efficient. A little pricey, but worth the experience!

So many flavors and everyone was so nice! They even have ice cream flights if you want to try them all.
