Spent 3 nights here this week in site 16. Bring inner tubes, shoes for river, and a hand pump. Even if you don't think you will use these...you will. This is a sweet campground with nice people, a great camp host, and beautiful views. The sites are close together and this would be great for families. You can hear all the conversations everywhere. I wouldn't go for the solitude. The place is buzzing with activity and joy and just enough nature and roughing it to feel like you've accomplished something. Really try to book a site near the river. Firewood is for sale. Water spigots available. Bathrooms what you would expect. Not the worst. Expect lots of dogs and conversation. Deer spotting on the mountainside. The weather seems to change quickly so pack for a little of everything. Ps. You can float a little ways down and hop out on the river bank by the road. Climb the giant hill. Go down and get in the river on that side and it loops you around to the campground. A fun challenge.

Every campsite has a view of the South Platte River. Site #12 has 2 flat spots for 2 tents. Even though it's next to the river, it is still on a hill, too. There is water and firewood for sale. There's a paved loop through the campground that's good for kids' scooters and bikes. The drive there is very nice along the river and through the foothills, too. Very peaceful. The Deckers shop is just a mile away. Also a cafe and ice cream. This July in Colorado is amazing!

Camped all over Colorado and this is one of my favorite campgrounds. Reasonably priced and very scenic. Kids had a blast tubing down the river, fishing and hiking. Off the highway and quite. Must stay with or without kids.

We had a great time camping, fishing and tubing down the river. So fun! The park host was super nice, the water was cold but fine if the sun was out. Fishing was great - there were some large rainbows. I would say if you are in a tent DO NOT book site #9. There is no tent pad and no flat space for a tent. They really really need to do some maintenance on this site. Our tent was on a slant. Not really conducive to a good nights sleep. There were a lot that didnt have tent pads but most at least had a flat space. I wish I would have taken a photo!!! But still a great time.

I wanted to check this place out with it being by the river. 5 spots were taken by what looks like people that live there, nobody can collect that much junk over the weekend or a week. This place would be awesome if ran by the right people.

Great location right on the river and close to Deckers, which has a nice littlerestaurant/ice cream shop. The campground host, Mike, host was wonderful and friendly. Our site (#9) was pretty awful. It had NO shade, was quite windy, and had very little privacy. The campground and river were very busy with people tubing and fishing, so this was not a secluded or quiet place to camp.

Campground is small and reasonably priced but the bathrooms were kind of gross and there was no running water. The river is pretty and busy with fisherman who are pretty respectful, quiet, courteous. But the park also allows day guests who come at all hours, loud, rude, and walk right through your campsite. OK but not the best...
