Little London Cake Shoppe

I was in Canada considering ideas for a birthday cake for 20, in 1 week. We started calling Wednesday, and discovered a week's notice is preferred, and some bakeries already closed Thanksgiving thru Sunday. I found Little London on Friday 11-24, and Nikki answered the phone! and said they could make it before closing at noon Saturday! I ordered a 10" round dbl. chocolate cake for 20, with buttercream, decorated top & sides, like one of their many photos.And they delivered as promised!Ppl. noticed it was a gigantic cake - more than enough for 20... so moist & rich...and delicious! First, I read that this bakery is under new management. So this review is for the Fall of 2023. I ordered a cake and 12 cupcakes for my son's bday. I was so disappointed and will never buy from them again. The art/design was cute, but the cake/cupcakes were burnt. They were dry and tasted awful. I asked for whipped cream and strawberry filling. I got a yellow cake with strawberry pie filling (thick gelatin-like) in the middle. No cream. Most of the kids at the party didn't even finish their cupcakes. We threw the remaining cake in the garbage. It wasn't edible. Total waste of money.Besides the cakes, they never answer the phone, and the store hours are ridiculous. They are supposed to close at 4 pm, but on two separate occasions, I got a call one hour before saying they "were closing early today and I needed to come get my cakes." I ended up having to reschedule because I could not make it. It was inconvenient for me when planning a party. I understand if there is an emergency, but this happened twice within two weeks. Most people cannot get up and leave their jobs in the middle of the day. If the store hours are 9-4 pm, they should be open during those times. Closing at 4 pm is difficult enough to manage for working people. I rarely write bad reviews unless it is just awful. Little London Cake Shoppe is just that!

I ordered a cake for my sons graduation and was very surprised as too how good and fresh the cake stayed for the party. I picked up my cake on a Friday and left it in the fridge until Saturday for the party. It was lemon raspberry and a big hit! I did not feel that the cookies we bought last minute where as flavorful but they looked great for decoration. I went back and bought my husband a cake for his birthday! So yummy!

Little London bakery is my favorite cake shop in town.Hands down, no competition.Yes - their cakes are AMAZINGLY delicious and their work is impeccably beautiful, but what really makes this cake shop special is their costumer service.I have always been treated super kindly, and they have always worked with me when creating a cake design. I have ordered from them for person parties and for work events, and every time the process has been smooth and easy.They are great about communication, and answer emails pretty quickly. Their prices are really reasonable and the quality of their cakes is extraordinary. I will always use them for special occasions.TIP: They offer gluten free options that are delish - Im not gluten free but have purchased gluten free for work functions and my gluten-free coworkers have loved the quality of the cake!

I was so happy that Little London could make a cake for my son's 1st birthday which falls during that awkward time between Christmas and New Years Day when a lot of small businesses seem to be closed. We ordered a month in advance, sent a photo, followed up with an email about a week before the event out of paranoia. The cake was ready on time and looked exactly like the photo. It was bright and vibrant and perfect for a kid birthday. I have no concept of cake pricing but I'm sure this took a bit of work--plus it was heavy and huge. So to me, the price was very expensive but justified. People raves over the impressive look of the cake and also the flavor. Everyone wanted the strawberry cake layer. I don't imagine a need for a big scale custom cake like this again but I wouldn't hesitate to use and recommend them even for smaller projects.

Don't know what happened, we'll probably never know. Apparently there is a new owner? Not sure it's even in business, seems closed most of the time. Stay away if you want anything close to edible. What a shame, it used to be so good!

Disappointing, and if I could leave no stars, I would. We have purchased cakes from here for special occasions over the last 8 years. This is the last time. Not only does the cake look nothing like I requested, the customer service and communication is awful. I do not recommend.Take your business elsewhere.1. You cannot access them directly via phone. A few issues: no one answers the phone and the voicemail box is full.2. Email communication was unprofessional in the ordering process, which I just let slide but it should have been a warning of what's to come.3. My pick up time was amidst a snow storm and I needed to change from flesh flowers (which they asked ME) to deliver to fondant or buttercream flowers. I emailed 2 days prior about the change due to the storm approaching and not being able to deliver flowers. I never received a reply to that email or a curtesy call. I call to confirm that pick up was still on and was unable to leave a message due to the full voicemail. I sent two emails and finally was ASKED to pick up within thirty minutes. Upon arrival, no one was there. I called numerous times and no one picked up. Finally, I spoke to someone who said someone would arrive in 3 minutes. 15 minutes later, she showed up and I received not a gold topped cake I requested but a very sloppy cake. It is horrible and not what I requested for my parents 50th anniversary.Do not use this bakery. This was a huge mistake.Below: the requested cake (with real flowers that they do NOT provide). We asked for white buttercream instead of the pink and to adjust to fondant or buttercream flowers when we were unable to deliver desired flowers.We received a yellow sparkle drip and a sloppy flower creation.Do NOT use this shop.

Not the little london cake Shoppe that has Offered steady and reliable products. This is a new Shoppe with new owners benefiting from the name brand that used to be little london. Highly disappointed in the quality of work for the price being charged. Ordered a custom cake and 1. The order was "lost" and they "did me a favor" by making the cake even though they were over booked with orders. 2. The cake looked NOTHING like the picture, no fondant, nothing resembled the cake. It was dry and quality control did not come through. They charged over a few hundred dollars for the cake (which was picked up by a relative). Complete rip off. Will never use this shop again. Not the quality it used to be.

Horrible cake for a baby shower and was only compensated 10 percent discount on my next order poor customer service I will not be ordering anything from you just Horrible

I am so disappointed in the baby shower cake we ordered from Little London. We've used them several times in the past and this time was a failure. We sent photos of what we wanted and the cake that was delivered was nothing like the photo. After leaving several voicemails and sending numerous emails, the owner said he would reimburse me. The cake was very moist and tasted good so I asked for a partial refund, which has not happened. I won't use Little London again.
