Leadville Liquor Store

Officially one of my favorite stops in Leadville! I was surprised at the variety of liquor available and how knowledgeable they were. Came here with friends before heading back out into the woods to camp, buying a few bottles of soju. But really, they have everything. Beer, wine, spirits, NA options. I love chilling and nerding out about alcohol. There's loads of high quality options. Can't wait to come back!

I used to work here. The owner is a stickler for wonderful customer service and cleanliness. Everything gets rotated if its about to expire its removed. The employees are taught about the beer, wine and liquor so they can maintain the best customer.

Guys are always super helpful and friendly. Drive thru liquor store, enough said. They always have dog treats as well! Great selection, better prices than Mt. Massive liquors and just as good or better service.

The previous review is absolutely inaccurate and unfair - anyone who claims to spend so much time in liquor stores really should know the difference between "born on" vs. "expiration" dates - beyond that, here is my review:An absolutely delightful experience! The drive through is not only novel, but convenient as well. Leadville Liquors is my go to for all of my wine, beer, and liquor needs and has been for 20 years. The staff is very knowledgable and extremely helpful, not only of their knowledge as "spirit guides" but in assisting with the best places to eat, directions to different attractions here in town, and the best things to see and do in this beautiful county! If you're looking for something in particular, the owner will go out of her way to make special orders and track down the hardest to find liquors (including Macallan18 year old scotch - my personal favorite, and Eagle Rare 10, which has become quite rare) . Their beer selection is the largest in the county - plus being outside of the city limits there is NO CITY SALES TAX! Thank you for making every transaction quick, pleasant, and affordable!

Leadville Liquor carries expired beer on the shelves Mt. Massive Liquors is far better and cheaper. When I notified them that the entire stock of one particular beer was expired by 4 (FOUR!!) months. I was told they are unable to remove it from their shelves and that their only choice is to sell expired beer for full price because it's just "out of our hands" according to the owner whom was extremely rude throughout the entire conversation. They just wait until someone doesnt check the expiration date to charge them full price. I've lived here in town for 3 years and go to the liquor store 2-4 times a week. Will never go here again. If the owner had just been cordial and knocked a couple bucks off an already 10$ six pack I wouldnt even be upset and would still go here. I can see why the place has had all their longtime employees quit in the last couple months. Customer service isnt difficult but for this Liquor stores owner it certainly is.
