Las Palmitas Mexican Restaurant

The restaurant is clean, quiet, and sunny, with very cheerful colors. Large windows offer a view of the mountains. The staff is welcoming and attentive.The food is excellent! I was impressed by how fresh the refried beans and rice were. I ordered shredded beef enchiladas with green sauce, which had many distinct layers of flavor--something that is quite uncommon. The shredded beef was moist and full of flavor. The dish's presentation was beautiful; it was served on a large, solid white platter that showcased the colorful food wonderfully. We will be back.

First time visitor and we visited on taco Tuesday. Establishment is under new ownership. Food was fantastic and the prices of their specials were awesome. Staff is friendly. Flavorful food with generous portions. We were extremely happy with our selections and will make this one of our regulars haunts. Highly recommend.

The best carne asada I've had in the Springs area ! And I know ... lol because its my favorite! So in my mind I know a good one!! They are new owners as of 1 month ago.... They are open 7 days a week, A great happy hour 2-6 the other owner had strange hours! However.... This newly family owned business is ready to please, with their absolute Fresh ingredients, everything is made day of! So... I say thumbs up

My family and I went to eat here for Mother's Day. Although there seemed to only be one waitress, she did not come to our table for almost 20 minutes after we arrived to ask for our orders. She did bring us chips, but she didn't say anything and went to pay more attention to other tables. Might I add that the restaurant was not packed while we were there. The waitress also went to the tables behind and surrounding us about three or four times, completely ignoring us in the process. Past experiences have been pleasant, but this one was not. It was probably just a rough day for her, but who knows. The food is also relatively decent for Colorado.

Don't go! My steak was so chewy I couldn't eat it. After pulling a hair from the beans, I was off my food. Clearly service is impacted by lack of staff. I will not go back.

Convivial atmosphere, GENUINE Mexican cuisine, excellent service, very pleasant location and decor, GREAT food! Mid range pricing, and the Cadillac margaritas is superb!

Although we enjoyed the previous owners, the new ownership has taken everything to a whole new level. Food was noticeably fresh, portions were more than ample and the flavors were outstanding. All was served hot and fast.

We hadn't been here in some time. Tonight we both had chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. So good! There were generous portions of rice and homemade refried beans, with a nice fresh salad. The service was good. We spoke with the owner afterward. He bought the restaurant just two weeks ago and said they make everything homemade. I'm so happy we have this great restaurant so close by.

Excellent, authentic food! We're from Texas, so that's saying a lot! Very reasonable prices for a large amount of food. Only issue was we had to ask the wait staff to bring things to the table that should've already been brought. Otherwise, great restaurant!

8 of us went to lunch, 1 of us thought the food was ok and the rest did not enjoy their lunch. The carne asada fries were mushy and the cheese was a watery sauce. Orders were not right when they came out. Portions were small. We were given chips and salsa when we sat down. We waited 20 min for drinks and 35 min for our order to be taken. Then it was another 30 min for our food to be brought. The restaurant had 3 other tables... 2 two-tops and a single gentleman so the wait should not have been that long for anything. No one refilled our drinks, no one checked back on us once. We were all disappointed with our food and the service.
