Las Camelinas

Phenomenal Mexican food! Family owned and run, which shows the pride they put into every dish! Working with only family members due to staffing shortages, the service was great and friendly! Enjoyed the Enchilada Grande and the combination meal, which were both huge portions and very tasty. The watermelon margaritas were top-notch! Looking forward to another visit soon!

We live out of state and have returned to this spot 3 times! Zef our server hit it out of the ballpark last summer with his own special margarita recipe and his warm, welcoming vibe! This time around we received great food and drink recommendations. I'm pescatarian so judge Mexican restaurants by their refried beans, salsa and margaritas- 3 out of 3 here! I especially enjoyed my Skinny Sunset margarita and my partner loved the frosty mug that came with his beer. All of our food was delicious!

This place is great, all the food looked amazing it was hard to choose. Got the Diablo shrimp and it was hot and delicious with in-house sauce. The raspberry margarita was great too, lots of different flavors to choose from. I will be back!!

We ate here last time while visiting Salida, on a recommendation from the Mountain Goat Lodge. We opted to sit on the tiny but quaint patio as weather was ideal. We ordered margaritas (of course) and they brought chips and salsa along with the Mexican cabbage-slaw, which is my favorite and not many Mexican restaurants have it. Our dinner was delicious and our server and assisting staff were great!

On a busy weekend we were able to get seated quickly. The menu is fairly comprehensive without being huge. Our server was great, especially when he had to explain that they couldn't take credit cards, due to an internet issue (which was affecting all of town). Our meals were served quickly and were well prepared and delicious.The margarita was perfect, not too sweet. They even comped our dessert, thanks to my wife's birthday. We will happily return!

We've lived in the Arkansas Valley for eight years, and Las Camelinas abides in Salida as our most favorite Mexican restaurant. Yes, because of the food, it is far and away the best in the valley! And also the people who make you feel like a favorite customer every time you stop in. Great service, joyful family run business! As for the ambience (yelp is asking), it's exceptional: There is so much packed into this colorful space yet you won't see a speck of dust, and the patio is delightful. This is our weekly haunt by now -- if that tells you anything about the quality of Juan's cooking and the welcoming experience!

We absolutely loved this place. Authentic Mexican food and it was great in big portions. Oh, and make sure you get a skinny margarita. They are made with fresh squeezed limes and not all those added sugars. The service was great too, Family owned and you can tell they all care about their customers. I'm from Texas where there are plenty of Mexican restaurants and I give them a full 5 stars.

Just a great family owned and operated restaurant. Very friendly and cozy. Large portions and margs are great. Big menu and comfy booths. Really wonderful
