I ordered the fried avocado tacos and they came in street tacos style so order more if you're really hungry. Two was enough for me and I'm very pleased with these tacos. They're fresh and favorable. I plan to come back and order this and other tacos. Maybe random ones just to see which ones I like the best The staff is friendly and attentive to serve, which I appreciate as I swung by alone just to eat quickly, and seeing friendly smiles definitely made me feel welcome as a valued customer.

New location is in The Well, a food hall in downtown Colorado Springs. We ordered the chips and queso, a pork taco, huli huli chicken taco, pork burrito, and a kid's quesadilla. First of all, my order was wrong-- I received a mahi mahi taco instead of a huli huli chicken taco. All the food was so bland and tasteless, no salsa was served with the burrito, and the shredded pork was a wet/watery mess. My daughter's cheese quesadilla was flatter than a pancake and had barely any cheese in it. I could barely get her to eat it.I'm so disappointed. Everything was so grossly overpriced and it was not worth it at all! I'm not sure how they have so many good reviews, but they've really missed the mark. I definitely do not recommend.

As per a post by a fellow Yelper, it wasn't hard to find La'aus. Going east on Cache LaPaudre from Cascade, turn right down the alley before the large building on the corner of Tejon. There are 4 parking spots for La'au by the large deck. The tacos were maybe the best we've had in Colorado Springs. Especially for the variety. I got the Tilapia ones. Tasty - especially the added green sauce. The fish pieces could have been larger, but passable. The spicy shrimp tacos looked incredible, so incredible my husband didn't offer me a bite! The prices were very reasonable. About $10 for 3 tacos. They didn't have any of their Kailua cake so we opted for the churros. Big mistake! They were tasteless and greasy. Dripping with grease. Yuck!Because of the great tacos, we'll be back!Got my own shrimp taco this time. Ooooo, so good-spicy and crunchy! Yum! Hubby got a quesadilla, also very good. Why eat tacos anywhere else?

So first, a shout out to Nancy H whose directions helped me find this place. The address is Tejon, but you can't see this place from Tejon. In between Tejon and Cascade there is an alley off of Cache La Poudre. This alley will lead you to a totally unique and delicious Hawaiian inspired burrito/taco experience. The braised pork burrito was such a pleasure to my taste buds. Little chunks of pineapple salsa mixed in with a perfect mixture of rice, pinto beans, and shredded pork on a fresh homemade flour tortilla. It had three hot peppers on the menu board, but I didn't think that it was hot, honestly, just superbly delicious. They have a serve yourself area where you can add cotija cheese, cilantro, jalapeños, if you would like. The patio is covered with a huge sun shade and there are also a few older tables with umbrellas. This place is geared for the college/work week crowd so on a Saturday afternoon it was quite quiet and relaxing with a handful of people coming and going during the lunch hour. If you are downtown, on the north end right next to the college and you want a different take on your taco/burrito experience, this is an excellent place to try.

Closed until 2027? Wish they would have solid hours instead of being open 3 months out of the year.

Good food if you can get it. They close for weeks or months at a time, apparently based on a magic 8 ball or something. Are they open? Probably not! Always have a backup plan if you think you might want to eat here.

While visiting Colorado Springs my friends and I had to switch gears in the time of Covid-19 as many food establishments had to offer only delivery or takeout. Upon a quick search and finding out that La'au's offers online ordering we decided to have some tacos and tasty churros for our dinner. Ordering online was super easy! In fact one of the items my friend chose was unavailable and someone from La'au's called to let her know that the item was out. That was super helpful and allowed my friend to adjust her order on the fly. Getting here was a bit of a challenge so do note that they are behind a campus building through an alley with about 3-4 parking spaces (including a handicap spot) for you to pull into. The small window to pick up the order is easily visible as soon as you park. Food was fantastic and great! As Texans we really pride ourselves on quality tacos and La'au was right up there with some of the best we had. Homemade flour tortillas, amazing seasoned chicken and pork, and also vegetarian friendly as well. Hawaiian inspired cooking really woo'd us during our visit.

This taco shop has been on my list to try for a while. It tucked away on campus off the Main Street. The patio is lovely, we will have to try it when it's warm out! The inside has community tables and one bar which is super fun. The patio has a lot of seating available too. The inside is super clean and the bathrooms as well. I have to say the girl that helped us order was so helpful with us deciding how to go about mixing different toppings. You can choose a lettuce type and a salsa variety to top the tacos. I decided to try three different main proteins to see how they were. I ordered the pork, chicken and tofu. The toppings were so flavorful, as were the proteins. I think the pork was my favorite. The only issue we had was all the liquid coming from the toppings, so our tacos were pretty wet. My friend with me has been here before and never experienced this, she said it was not a norm. Love the extra toppings on the bar as well!
