La Herradura Mexican Restaurant

Great Service! One main server who kept all the other bus boys, cooks, and hostess on track! Was really good about checking in with us frequently. Chili con queso was very good! Had a spice to it and consistency was good. The steak burrito was large and had three different sauces. Margaritas were large and sweet. Spicy Mango marg was a bit too sweet but the Blackberry was perfect. It's a mountain Mexican restaurant, a little dive-y but a lot of locals. Appeared to be an old Burger King maybe? The clutter could be picked up and it would look much nicer.

Almost didn't go based on reviews but our experience was great. Fully satisfied with service and quality of food.

Food was good, Amber was great but the manager o wasn't friendly that all when I ask her if she was the owner I just wanted to know more about her restaurant and the decoration. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very quiet.

Didn't have a good experience here. Ordered 3 Ala cart chicken tacos. things that usually come standard in a taco like cheese didn't and when I asked for cheese they up charged me $3.00. I payed $21.00 for 3 dry yucky tasteless tacos. The tacos consisted of dry chicken bits, chopped onion, a slice of lime served in soft shells that fell apart. When we asked why were were charged for the cheese they were like, sorry and still charged us. Not sure if I misunderstood what I ordered but regardless the food wasn't good. I never write reviews of restaurants but I felt this one needed to be documented. There are plenty of other excellent restaurants in Buena Vista, Won't be back.

Stopped in Buena Vista for lunch. He remembered a Mexican restaurant from before so we stopped there. The chips and salsa were meh. Salsa had no taste at all. Not even as good as store bought. I chose a relleno from the lunch menu which came with rice and beans. He chose a Herradura steak burrito. I was hopeful for a tasty lunch despite the salsa lacking seasoning. It was not to be. The relleno was the not crispy kind and the Chile was large but not roasted. The breading was yuck. The rice lifeless and the beans even worse - an unrecognizable mush. So disappointing. His steak burrito was meh as well. He said they're not as good as he remembered. And when we were ready for our check the server was busy on her cell phone. The other server checked on us more. And she was passing so he asked her for the check. They have parking and patio seating and the restroom was clean. But I don't recommend.

My son and I were out driving around today. We had plans to go to Tincup to try the restaurant out there, but I didn't have the right vehicle to tackle that road. So we headed over to Buena Vista and decided to eat there instead. The first place we checked refused to let my dog sit with us on the patio. No worries, lots of other places nearby. So we stopped at LA Herradura Mexican Restaurant and they welcomed us AND my dog.Service was spectacular. Fast and friendly! Chips and salsa hit the table within seconds of my butt hitting the chair. Always a good sign.I ordered the carnitas plate. Delicious, well-seasoned large chunks of pork. Perfectly cooked. The beans, rice, salsa and guacamole were all great too.I'm kind of a tortilla snob...and the tortillas were average. Probably not made there. But, they were hot and there were plenty offered. So I wouldn't deduct a star.They took good care of us and fed us damn good food. That's all I really needed.

Went in to try some mexican the other night and really enjoyed it! The decor is typical of mexican restaurants, the service was quite good and the food was really yummy. I'll definitely come back!

This was the perfect stop for dinner! The food and service were outstanding. My party ordered Herradura Burrito, rancheros burrito, shrimp tacos, and a chicken burrito. Everything looked so amazing we forgot to take pictures of the food! We also ordered the Cadillac, jalapeño, blue, and a spicy mango margaritas! There is a large list of many different types of margaritas to pick from. Whoever was working behind the bar certainly was friendly with the pours!

Great food and service! Loved the homemade tortillas. Not sure why this place has low reviews, every party in the restaurant seemed fully satisfied.

The food is not good. My family and i tried a variety of dishes here and it was pretty bland. The tacos de asada were very chewy with no flavor and are not served with salsa. the pollo asado that was as thin slab of chicken the same thickness as a tortilla. the ceviche had an excessive amount of onion, and the shrimp cocktail was bland as well. The burritos are okay.
