Service was very good. Food left a lot to be desired. Just bland. Needed help, seriously. Don't bother.

La Bella Vita is a quintessential traditional Italian restaurant in Colorado Springs. The small dining room, lighting, servers on the ready, all create the high end traditional Italian spot vibe they are going for. The food does range in quality. They start you with some focaccia which was a wonderful start to the meal. The melanzane parmigiana (eggplant parmigiana) was layered and soft, much like a cake. The lack of crispness in the breading can be enjoyable texture wise if the flavor is there but there was a lack of flavor overall. I feel very similarly about the gnocchi al pomodoro e basilico. Texture of the gnocchi was great but lacked a bit of salt in the gnocchi itself. The sauce was a great tomato basil sauce but is very basic flavor wise and when the gnocchi isn't adding much flavor it ends up falling flat as a dish altogether. The rigatoni alla carre is the highlight dish we had. The pesto cream sauce is supremely enhanced with the mushrooms, artichokes, and tomatoes that creates a blend that is absolutely worth getting. The tiramisu is an extremely large tiramisu compared to the other standard tiramisu from around town. It is thoroughly a delicious tiramisu and I love what I believe are white chocolate chips sprinkled throughout the tiramisu. The cannoli was a pretty standard cannoli and didn't disappoint at all. While I think there are better Italian places in town, La Bella Vita really fits the traditional Italian restaurant vibe well.

This has been one of the most memorable Colorado dining experiences for me.In the entire Colorado Springs area La Bella Vita is a five star gem and I'm so glad I found them!I came here for my birthday last week and it was such a delight to dine here. The first thing that stood out was the friendly and hospital service from the hostess to my server. Then the second thing that stood out to me was nicely decorated the restaurant was, and the menu.Thirdly, which is probably the most important of all is how utterly amazing the food taste! All of the entrées, my husband and I ordered were spectacular and my dessert was perfect! I had the chicken piccata which was good but not enough food. And my husband had a beef ravioli special which I wish I would've gotten instead of the piccata. Both dishes were out of this delicious and we did order their lemon-cello cheesecake and I personally did not like it, but the tiramisu I ordered was spot on!I look forward to coming back soon and trying out some of their other dishes which I'm sure are fantastic!Thank you La Bella Vita for making my birthday very special! It's a 2 thumbs way up for La Bella Vita!

We had a reservation for Saturday night during Thanksgiving weekend for 6. The table was ready and the restaurant looked pretty decorated for the holiday. The pasta is homemade and was delicious. One of my pet peeves is restaurants that don't supply a side salad with pasta. Salad and meatballs and frankly anything extra was just that--extra. Also dishes such as chicken parmigiana came with potatoes and broccoli. I like pasta with my parmigiana but of course that was extra. The server was overwhelmed. I ordered my drink after the others and it never arrived until we asked for it. My son ordered a salad and never received it. Water glasses were never refilled. It was a shame because the food was delicious but service would have me hesitate to return.

I've had La Bella Vita on my list for awhile. I finally got to dine here. To start, the restaurant provided complimentary bread for the table with some olive oil. Half of the bread was hard. The mozzarella caprese was fresh. I wish it came with a drizzle of balsamic glaze. I ordered the veal parm which was average in terms of flavor. I wish it was paired with pasta instead of rosemary potatoes (the potatoes were hard). My husband had the fettuccine vodka con gamberi - the sauce was good, and the shrimp were big and juicy. Tiramisu was decent. The service was great! If you're sensitive to sounds, keep in mind, you can hear everyone's conversations reverberating throughout the dining room. The art on the wall can be described as Italian-influenced with no cohesion.Overall, just okay. *3.5 stars*

Was one of the best Italian restaurants we've ever eaten at * period * The place is extremely charming with the ambiance including a wine room designed to look like a house in Italy complete with a clay-tiled roof within the restaurant. We also had the most friendliest and kind servers - it really added to the warm atmosphere. The best part is the owners are from Italy who actively take part in the cooking, with the second generation now helping out in running the restaurant. Every dish was delicious, cheesy, and too good. Regardless of what you order - you must order their tiramisu. We loved it so much we ordered one more to go!What we ordered:coffeeBurrata Alla Bella Vita - 4/5Panzanella - 4/5Tortellini Della Nonna - 5/5Baked Manicotti - 5/5Fettuccine Vodka con Gamberi - /5 (I don't eat it but was told it's good by friend)Tiramisu - 100/5

Wonderful place to take my wife for her 40th birthday. Service was excellent and the restaurant is very charming. We started with the Calamari Fritti, my wife had the lobster/shrimp special and I was recommended the Fettuccine Vodka con Gamberi. All of the meals were top notch. Truly enjoyed our experience and I was pleasantly surprised with the cocktail menu as well. Looking forward to making this a great spot for years to come.

Absolute favorite Italian Restaurant in Colorado Springs. Great service, especially at lunch. Forestiera sauce is simply to die for, and the appetizers are great.

I went here on a date tonight and do mot even kind of recommend!!! The location is absolutely terrible, you can see carls jr and the highway out the window! The fold tastes like it's microwaved, even the bread is bland! And the SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!!!!!! The waitresses have no regard for conversation and wait until you start talking to interrupt and once they do they're rude about it! I did not have a good time here!

The server was rude and talked to other tables because our food took 45 minutes to come out. A table that was sat 20 minutes after had their food first, the server said "your order was complicated". She had no idea how to serve a table. No apologies were said for the delay. The "veal" more like mystery meat and it was tough. The carbonara had been sitting in the window for so long that it became solid. The server said "that's the Italian way". That's not anyway to serve food. The only highlight was the manager who was kind and considerate.
